History

Safari is a PvE oriented guild that has been raiding for the past 5 years. While very colorful with its fair share of bumps, we have always prided in enduring the hardest times and overcoming the most difficult obstacles. With a very strong focus on our raiding progress, we recently migrated away from our previous server of 2 years - where we held the #1 international guild spot - to Twisting Nether.

Raiding

Our raids are scheduled from Monday-Thursday from 21:00-24:00 server time. Under exceptional circumstances we may extend raids and ask our players to continue playing at their absolute top best until the raid is officially called for the night. Though extremely rare, this may be the case when an important milestone in terms of server/world rank depends on a timely boss kill.

Progress and Recruitment

There's no denying we had a slow start with Cataclysm - and our current progress of 10/12 (normal) is a reflection of that - but given our playerbase is mostly people with real life obligations (job, kids, ...) holiday seasons are sometimes unforgiving. The launch of this expansion and the migration certainly took their toll as well, but that's good news for you since we got a few raid spots to be filled.

As such, we're particularly interested in:
- Balance Druid
- Holy Paladin
- Rogue
- Shaman (all specs, really)
- Mage

But feel free to apply even if your class isn't quite what we're looking for. We're always looking for exceptional players and you might be one of them. Big plus if you enjoy using forums and ventrilo.

Community

In Safari, we are strong believers in freedom of speech and personal opinions. While it's not uncommon to witness other guilds being highly oppressive of their member's desires and goals, we believe the best effort stems from good will, and a motivated person will always play better than someone who is on the edge of burnout.

We may be tough at times, but we're always fair. And while maintaining our core principles, we have learned to be highly selective of the people we choose to join us in terms of personality, skill and commitment to the game. A rotten apple can ruin your gaming experience and we go through great lengths to ensure that won't happen.
