“Shenanigans” Guild

Since we always seem to have the same old wall-o-text in Shenanigans' recruitment posts the burden of putting in new words here and there and hopefully inspiring more outstanding apps has (maybe unwisely) been given to me.

What we're looking for:
Just off the top of my head, we would want non retards to apply. Know what min/max is, what a sit list is, know at least the general stat weights for your class. In short....do your damn research. The amount of effort put into your app directly affects the amount of effort and time we put into reviewing/responding to it. We keep a calm and mildly entertaining atmosphere going in vent, I mean who wants to raid feeling as if they cannot have a little fun. But, during a progression pull we do expect a certain level of maturity and patience to be exhibited. We have active forums and expect most major strat changes to be discussed there. We have a restricted amount of raid time and expect that time to be used to it's fullest. That also means showing up in the right spec, with the right glyphs. If you know a few talents here and there will truly help your performance on a fight we will be working on....offspec it or something, we don't want to waste time. Hopefully that doesn't seem like too much to ask for.

We've been around awhile:
Going into the guild history a bit.....I'll be honest, I'm a wrath recruit, but this gives me a good perspective. When you hear a guild has been around since Pre BC you know they are doing something right. Shenanigans has always kept a fiendly and welcoming attitude and as someone who joined relatively recently, it's great. There are of course that solid core of members dating back to the dawn of time but you won't feel left out. I could list off the achievements like Naxx pre BC and Sunwell progression in BC but honestly....who cares at this point.

Progress:
In wrath we have fully cleared Ulduar 25 and the majority of hardmodes (really haven't set foot in there in awhile and it is no longer scheduled regularly), Full clears of ToC25 as well as 4/5 ToGC 25 (damn you anub, you will come down soon). Quickly cleared all of the currently released bosses in ICC and got a couple LOLAchievements.....Needless to say we are counting the days until we can get a crack at the rest of the instance (and then knock down heroic). We do have a couple of 10mans that run regularly so you'll have something to do pretty much anytime you're bored.

*Speaking of.....we have achievement @@%*!s (damn you Chitters) so even when content is fully cleared we'll be continuing to knock out those random, sometimes annoying, encounters.

Lootz:
Now to the good !!@%.....loot. Shenanigans uses a hybrid DKP/Loot Council with resets at the release of each new tier level. We've spent time coming up with a policy we feel is quite fair and well implemented. Feel free to read more about it at our guild website (www.shenguild.com).

App!:
We do encourage all interested people to go ahead and put in an app, we could always use new blood. Below are our highest priorities but of course we will consider all excellent apps and give anyone deserving the chance to "show us what they got" and keep our current roster on their toes. We like to keep a lean roster so expect any recruits to be top notch. Expect to have questions asked after you apply, be ready to explain your choices for talents/gems/enchants. How you respond to criticism and questioning is a vital part of your app as well, of course if you know your class you'll be fine.

*I will say that, in general, we do not want to have to take the time to gear up people. ToC 10 and ICC10 is easy to pug and with triumph badges being rediculously easy to obtain it should be relatively easy to get yourself on par with the content we are running.

High priorities:
DK: Tank
Rogue: 1 Exceptional (prefer combat)
Shaman: Enhance, Elemental
Warrior: DPS (arms or fury)
Warlock: Exceptional

For clarification we raid the following schedule:
Mon: 8:30-11:30pm
Wed:8:30-11:30pm
Thurs:8:30-11:30pm
Sun:8-12am (woot, more raid time)
