What we're looking for
Curveball is looking for quality players that value the challenges offered in progression raiding. We need people that want to show up on progression nights, and look forward to learning new fights. If you are the type of person that only shows up on Tuesday nights for easy, phat lootz, don’t waste your time (or ours) applying. If, on the other hand, you play WoW for the progression content more than the farm content, then you’re exactly what we’re looking for!

Applicant Requirement
We like applicants that take responsibility for their own performance in raids. We don’t make excuses for our mistakes/underperformance, and we won’t tolerate others that do. What this means for you: Show us that you are working constantly to maximize your performance. Ways to show this work:

* Be vocal in vent when appropriate
* Chat with the other class/role members
* Have all epic/appropriate gems/enchants
* Demonstrate knowledge of upcoming changes, patch notes, and forum posts
* Be active on the guild forums

About Curveball
Curveball was formed in September 2009 as the merger of two smaller guilds looking to expand into 25 man content. As most members are 20+ years old, we focus on fun, drama-free raids. Our core has played together for several years, building a strong community along the way. Guild chat and vent are very social, and there’s always something going on, anytime of the day.

Schedule and Attendance
Curveball raids always start at 7:45 pm EST and last until 11pm during farm content. During progression we will raid as late as midnight. We raid 25 main content 3 days a week during progression. After progression is all done we will be raiding very relaxed with a couple days off until new content comes out. If you cannot commit to this don't waste your time.

This is our schedule:

Monday: 10 mans
Tuesday: 7:45pm – 11:00pm
Wednesday: 7:45pm – 11:00pm
Thursday: 10 mans
Friday: 10 mans
Saturday: off day
Sunday: 7:45pm - 11:00pm

We require all our members to let us know in advance if they cannot attend a raid, failure to do so can result in removal.

Loot
Curveball uses an EPGP (Effort Points/Gear Points) loot system. More information and current standings are available in our guild forums.

Our goal with the EPGP system is to encourage people to take upgrades and to avoid “saving” up for a single item. We urge our raiders to maximize their performance, and the EPGP system encourages people to do so. The system, as it stands, welcomes new members to the guild by rewarding a piece of gear relatively early in the trial period. That is, you will not need to wait a month to win loot. With that said, the system also rewards our longtime, dedicated raiders by ensuring they receive the most valuable loot. For more information, consult our guild forums!

Application Process
Our application process normally lasts about three to four weeks. However, it can be extended under certain circumstances. To fully test our applicants, we throw you into the abyss with the rest of our raiders. You will be treated just as any other raider, and no special treatment will be offered. Our goal is to see how you fit in with the other raid members and our group as a whole.
During your trial period, you will be eligible for loot just as any other raid members, with the few exceptions listed in the guild loot forum. At the end of your trial period (which will be determined by the officers), we will have a performance review which will result in one of three possibilities:

* Promotion to Raider
* Promotion to Member (backup raider)
* Removal from Guild

We expect all applicants to be able to maintain close to 100% attendance during their trial period. We also expect all members to maintain 80% lifetime attendance.

We want you to want to be in our raids, and we will invest in you as much as you invest into us. We’re serious about raiding, so show us that you are as well.

If we sound like the guild for you, we strongly encourage you to apply!
