To begin, a history! The guild was founded during the first week of February, by Felipe, Kat, and a handful of founding friends. We didn't hold lofty aspirations of any kind at first, and were just happy to recruit here and there.

One thing was certain however; We all came from guilds that failed to deliver on their promises for one reason or another, and we wanted to be what they couldn't be, and do what they couldn't do.

From Jubei'Thos, we learned that to accomplish anything with a guild, you needed people. Lazy recruiters and a lack of passion had no staying power with new recruits, and as such nothing was done as a guild, only pugged. To combat this, we make an effort to recruit across a broad spectrum of sources, and we spam the heck out of our macros.

From Bleeding Hollow, we learned that poor and contentious leadership breeds feuding and bickering. Fights and drama broke out on the daily, and clique-ey nonsense prevented groups from working together. Our officers work as mediators, and there's a sequential chain of power. The Raiders keep the Guild Leaders in check, the Officers keep the Raiders in check, and the Guild Leaders keep the Officers in check. If someone is out of line, it needs to be addressed ASAP instead of behind closed doors. We can work together, stubbornly or no.

From Lightbringer, we learned that to bring literally anyone and everyone that is friends with the leadership is folly. You cannot say one thing and do another, rules need to have weight, even with the highest ups. Carrying people while the ones who want to do their best pull that weight isn't appropriate in any guild. To remedy this, our guild does a flexible style raid schedule. Friday, just about anyone who is not actively trying to sabotage the progress can come to raid. On Saturday, this is changed to you needing to meet a relatively average bar to participate.

Theoretically, this means that people who don't want to carry don't have to, but people who want to gear up can.

In short, the shitty status quo perpetuated by huge guilds, and the lack of activity or care in small guilds, are both unacceptable. We need challenge, we need progression, we need community.

Thus, the Debauchery TeaParty was born.

We are based out of the server Dalaran, are Alliance central, and we raid 8:30pm to 11:30pm EST every Fri/Sat, and have alt runs on wednesday.
