“Inevitable Failure” Guild

IF was formed around the idea that Mech and Asmodias aren't quite baller enough for high end raiding, but wanted to raid anyway.

We figured that as long as we're being casual, it'd be fun to bring our friends and family to slay internet dragons. The two of us (and others) have been carried to success as members of better guilds in the past, so we have some vague conception of what it takes to raid seriously.

Instead, we've put together a team of people we like, and we have fun wiping repeatedly. Being unsuccessful is what sets us apart. We /gkick people we don't like, or sometimes we convince them to /gquit. Some people we like /gquit and we don't quite get why, but that is part of the game, I guess. What I'm trying to say is, performance is fine, but if we find you annoying, we don't think there's much point to spending time with you.

We raid Friday and Saturday evenings, 9-midnight server time (PST). We use Mumble for voice comms, because Ventrilo makes Baby Green Jesus cry.

As far as recruiting, we have a pretty solid group. We're casually interested in bringing in three more raiders so that we can have a rotating 13 person team Sitting out one week per month to ensure down the road that someone quitting or having work or being sick doesn't prevent us from raiding seems important - we got started late because we lost a healer and a tank and a dps when panda land was release. Assuming compatible personalities, we are willing to teach people to raid, assuming your main class is not a mystery to you.
