Ravenguard, About Us
Ravenguard was formed October 24th, 2006. Most of us are more casual gamers who enjoy a good raid setting but cannot dedicate five to six days a week to be in a "Hardcore" raiding environment. We are a collection of like minded individuals who strive to have fun and enjoy each other's company. We come from differing backgrounds, at various stages in our lives, each with a story to tell, and each with a zest for gaming.

One of the principle guidelines which we maintain is an adherence to a "community voice". We expect people to chime in with their opinions but we also expect them to do so with consideration for others who may have an alternate point of view. Disagreeing with someone is natural. Agreeing to disagree is more difficult but is something which we all must learn to do. Doing this in an adult manner is both respected and required.

We do not expect everyone within our guild to be an adult, but we expect everyone to act like one. Our guild is adult-oriented, meaning we speak openly within guild chat about sex, politics, money, war, and any number of things which should be addressed with an open mind and mature outlook. To act childish can be fun from time to time, but to do it within the confines of our guild at the expense of someone else is prohibited.

Please be kind to others. Don't be rude to players in other guilds even if they are to you. Players who think they are "elite" and who are acting in an unacceptable manner should be ignored. If the player continues to exhibit disruptive behavior report them.

Ravenguard currently raids the Tomb of Sargeras (Heoric), you can see a list of bosses we have and have not killed in our Progress link on the front page.

What Do You Concentrate On Most In WoW Then?
The epics, legendaries and general pixels of our characters is always a cool thing to see, completed sets, super duper looking weapons and armor is all fantastic and part of the game and should be enjoyed, however those pixels disappear whenever we decide to stop paying for our account, character gets deleted, database gets corrupted data... It could all be gone much quicker than it was gained.

The memories with which you earned those pixels lasts a life time however, and that is our primary goal. Raiding content alongside like minded individuals who enjoy the game in the same manner we do, a casual raiding guild and we are just here to play and enjoy the game as *we* it should be.

We play for various reasons but foremost to have fun. Having fun can be defined in various ways and each player has their own view of it. However, having fun at the expense of others is strictly forbidden. If your actions are such that they violate the EULA of Blizzard or you are found to be cheating, lying, or griefing other players you will be immediately dismissed from our guild.

We expect everyone within our guild to treat others with respect. This doesn't mean you can't go out and punt a gnome from time to time, but it does mean you should do it with the knowledge there is a human on the other side of that gnome who has feelings and emotions every bit as valid as your own. People who enjoy demeaning, belittling, or making condescending statements, either with racial epithets, sexually-oriented slurs, or gender related comments, will be asked to refrain from such actions. Continued behavior will result in immediate dismissal.
