About Blackout:
Blackout is a hardcore raiding guild on a casual schedule, raiding 3 days a week. We appreciate that people have lives outside of wow and understand that progress doesn't have to be on a 6 day raid schedule. Because we are looking to maintain a consistent roster on those 3 days, we are only considering applications from people who can make all 3 raid days.
Our motto at Blackout is "You can fix gear, but you can't fix stupid" (thanks, Ron White). If you're a good player riding the bench because you're stuck in triumph/232s, thats OK. We don't care about your gearscore. We are looking for players capable of adapting and overcoming the challenges within Icecrown Citadel (and beyond). The gear will come with that.
We judge our applicants based on the following criteria:
- Knowledge of Icecrown citadel and previous end-game content. Vanilla/BC raid achievements (done when they were relevent) are a plus
- How to play your role effectively with little to no coaching from us - your UI should reflect this. Wowmeters/WWS or similar really, really help us understand where you're at as a player and is strongly encouraged.
- Gems and enchants that reflect a full knowledge of your class/spec
- 95%+ attendance - This effectively means you can make all raid days, barring unexpected emergencies.
- 18+ with a mature attitude - we dont want you having to leave early because mommy wants you to do your homework.
- A sense of humor - We're serious about raiding, but thats only part of wow. We dont want robots.
- Stable/fast internet connection, ventrilo, and a computer made after windows 98. I know this sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed.
