Guild Profile

Primary Language: English
Raids per week: 2
Recruiting (outdated):

House of the Valar is a weekend progression guild that is focused on clearing content in a short, but efficent amount of time. We believe that you can be a "Weekend Warrior" and still tackle as much content as the other guilds who are spending an extra day, and perhaps more hours than us raiding.

Currently, we run one 10 Man Progression Team, and believe in the idea of keeping everyone focused on one single goal. People do sit. People do take turns, but everyone does fairly sit, everyone does get loot, our real goal is killing some internet dragons.

Our ultimate goal is to keep a light roster within guild to ensure that all members and recruits are getting adequate raiding time each weekend. However, competition is a big part of our recruiting process.

Friday & Saturday 9pm-1 am Icecrown Server Time (That's 8pm-12am PST and 11pm to 3am EST for those of you doing time conversions!)

While we would ideally like to see our raiders at every raid because of our reduced schedule, we do understand that real life happens, and have our raiders aim for 85% attendance.

Raiders who keep their attendance at 85% or above are rewarded with the Knight rank, and receive higher priority in spots and in loot council than our Squire rank.

We use a Loot Council System based on preformance, attendance, and gear needs. We believe in equal and proper distribution of loot, as well rewarding members for pulling their weight and participating often.

*Some expectations of new members:

• 18+ Years of Age, Drama free, Team Oriented, and Mature.

• Fluency in English, Ventrillo, and a Working Mic. (We're Pretty Social!) We'd like more than a warm body in our raids.

• Gear that is gemmed, enchanted, and ready to for you to step into a raid. Plus, the self motivation for you to continue to upgrade your gear, research gear upgrades, and research raid encounters prior to the raids.

• Come to raids prepared with enough food buffs and flasks or elixirs to last the entire raid.

• Give and receive constructive criticism on the spot to master new encounters, and make adjustments to stratigies on the fly.

• Experience in your role through all currently availble 5 man heroic dungeons, and preferably some current raiding raiding experience. Previous tiers of raiding experience very much preferred.

*Perks for Raiders:

• Guild repairs during raids
• 50% discount on raid and profession materials/crafting mats
• Gear obtained in guild raids can be enchanted and gemmed through the guild bank for free
• Occasional farm nights with added benefits
