“IMA WHALE OORAAROAOOAA” Guild

Guild Goals & Expectations:
Our goal every raid tier is to achieve AOTC as a guild quickly after the new raid comes out. We have been successful in doing so due to the hard work and commitment of our core group. We also have all become close friends through this game and therefore want to do the best for each other. We are not a hardcore guild, but we are competitive and a high-functioning group of people who want to get the most out of their play time. Although AOTC is the goal, we have always had success in mythic raiding without it becoming our central focus.

As a raider in IMA WHALE, you will be required to come to raid ready and understanding your class and the role you play within each encounter. You will need to understand the mechanics and strategies for each fight prior to getting there. Logs will be taken each fight and each member is expected to improve week over week. Probably most importantly you will be required to understand that the progression of the whole is more important than your individual progression. Our expectation is if you are lagging behind your peers you are actively attempting to get better by doing things like running M+ for gear and experience. This is likely the best way in this guild to improve as we run M+ daily and have many experienced M+ runners.

We will be focused on progression and this will require everyone to be contributing and as such we are not able to carry anyone. We are not overly strict but will prioritize adherence to mechanics over damage. If you step into the new raid tier wanting to parse, this is not the guild for you. Parses come with time, experience and gear.

We maintain a friendly and welcoming environment and therefore will not tolerate drama. If you cannot play a video game without bringing your own personal bullshit along, don’t apply. We have a great culture of posting memes and shit-posting each other in discord, we won’t let other people come in and ruin that. As a result, we all have fun together and even meet up outside of WoW when we can.


Raids:

Core raiders are expected to show up to every raid, on time. We also keep in mind real life happens and sometimes you can’t. In that case just let someone know. Continual real-life issues might prevent you from being in the raid core and will result in you being placed on the bench until a firm commitment can be made. We value our raid time and typically have excellent attendance and expect the same from you.

We are aiming to have a group of 24 or 25 committed raiders for mythic. We will require in some instances people to swap in and out. If this happens it is up to you to recognize that its not personal and you are not in trouble, we just want progression. This also helps in case someone is unable to make raid. If you are on the bench at any given time, it is expected that you remain in game. We will ultimately try and cycle everyone in so that everyone can keep getting gear they want (Psyche Shredder for casters for example) as well as the practice they need.


Recruitment:
Our current needs in the raid team vary since the current core have mains and alts that are all geared, and we have the skill and knowledge to play them at the skill level required for heroic raid content. Therefore, if you play a class that is not listed as needed in the table above, reach out to me and we can likely move some people around.
