Who we are: Zodiac Braves was formed in the summer of 2010
as a group of friends who wanted to do some serious progression 10m
raiding. We formed right as ToC came out and proceeded to go 5/5 in
ToGC. When ICC came out we went 11/12 HMs. Currently we are 7/12 in
t11 content and are progressing rapidly despite a slow start (due
to a number of burnt out raiders).
Who we are not: We are not a guild that aspires to be top 10 in the US. While our goal is progression and hardmodes, we only raid three nights a week and understand that things like family and work come before raiding.
Raiding: We raid Tues, Thurs and Sun nights from 8:00-10:30pm est. We expect a high attendance rate because we maintain a small roster of raiders and if multiple people don't show up we can't raid that night. Any absences are expected to be reported on the forums beforehand. Raid invites are done on a first come first serve basis. Flasks and food are provided by the guild (though all raiders are expected to contribute to mats).
Loot: Loot is distributed by the need/greed system. If you want it for OS, you roll greed. If you need it for MS, you roll need. Otherwise you pass. Generally the person who needs the piece the most ends up getting it. We have very little problem passing loot to other raiders that need it more. After all, loot is not the point of the game.
What we're looking for: Currently we are looking for a prot/ret paladin and/or a prot/dps warrior for core raiding spots. We are also tentatively seeking a rogue or a warlock, also for a core spot. While we do not expect you to know every fight by heart, reading up on fights beforehand and knowing what to expect (hey, even throwing in your own ideas) is certainly expected of you. We want raiders who will contribute to our guild and our raids, not just show up for raids and log off immediately after. Many members of our guild also participate in a fair amount of PvP, so you'll have plenty of people to group with if you like!
