“Legion of Doom” Guild

Recruiting all classes for Cataclysm !!

Legion of Doom is one of the oldest guilds still standing strong on the server Korgath. Many of the founding members of the guild are still going strong, and there is a great sense of loyalty and friendship within the guild. Initially a casual raiding/leveling guild going into BC, we have now developed into a potent raiding force, with two successful 10man teams, and 25 man team,and soon to come Rated BG team for Cata. We have cleared all end game content within it's release through all expansions. At the heart of the LoD is a sense of fun, along with the ability to learn and grow from the experiences we share.

Here at Legion Of Doom we take a lot of things into consideration when judging a persons ability to raid. Prior achievements, properly having your gear enchanted and gem'd. The biggest thing is being on time though. If there is one thing we look for most it is being prompt and keeping us informed. If this one thing is something you feel you can not live up to LoD may not be the place for your raiding style. We keep our heads in the game but enjoy doing it. Disruptive players are not tolerated.

During Cataclysm we will be doing 25 man,10 man and rated Battle grounds,enabling max guild leveling.With taking the new raid lockout into consideration,members will still be able to focus on their choosing. These will be hosted by a member of our guild that has stepped up to the task. The same policies in regards to directions should be followed when in raids or bg's.

We are always looking for new ways to better our guild in a whole so any advice or suggestion for guild activities in our down time is appreciated.

-We run from 8:45 to 12:00am Server Time unless otherwise indicated.

-Be ready to raid! This includes and is not limited to reagents for a 3 hour time frame. Flasks and food. More often then not fish feast will be supplied.

-As of right now loot is run by a main spec (1000) > off spec (100). (This system WILL change to DKP in cataclysm for 25 mans)

-Vent is required, open to speak during trash. During boss encounters or multiple pulls I request people to use common sense when to be quiet and allow the raid leader and tanks to be the only active voices in vent.

-Suggestions should always be done in a whisper to whisper style. If you have a suggestion you need to whisper the raid leader, everything will always be taken into consideration and please note if you believe the raid leader is not giving your suggestion the attention it needs, inform an officer. There might be a reason your going unheard.

-Encounters are all explained in an informative manner and I request vent is kept clear during these times. I will not hold your hand but I will provide the information needed to understand the encounter and the tools to execute it.

-If you sign up for a start raid, you will always be on the invite list for a continuation. It behooves you to check your calender at regular intervals through out the week. Not responding to these invites will almost always guarantee your forfeiture of your spot the following week.

- This is how I run things. I am hard but fair, I enjoy raiding and want to make it an enjoyable experience for other players. If your looking for a laid back environment were content is cleared and willing to make that push to give us an edge in cataclysm, apply and lets see were the road takes us.

-On an ending note. If we require pugs we will always ask in guild first then ask in raid if there are any exceptional players that would like to be considered. Keep in mind my policy is this, if a player that is brought in from outside of guild creates a inability to focus on the encounter by trying to micromanage or badger another player from guild I will remove them without warning.

Non-Guild raids: If you plan on making your own raid while in Legion Of Doom our policy on this is simple. If you don't make a raid because of conflicting time schedules you are more then likely in a casual position. We simply ask that you do not openly advertise your raid in Guild or go out of your way to whisper each member to inquiry them to go. If they see it in a trade channel that is one thing. The only time recruitment should be made for raids in guild should be during VOA, Weekly, and achievement based encounters that are old content. ICC advertisement will be done by officers and the raid leader only unless otherwise instructed.
