Guild Profile

Primary Language: English
Raids per week: 2
casual
Recruiting (outdated):
all classes
This week, Potato Sack Orphans will begin open recruitment for the soon to be released Cataclysm expansion. In Wrath of the Lich King, our adherence to a casual raid schedule facilitated a progression oriented environment for players who sought to maximize the quality of time spent online. For two days each week PSO defeated all ICC Hardmode encounters, with the exception of Sindragosa and the Lich King, until raiding ceased around the time of the 20% application of Hellscream’s Warsong. In Cataclysm, the guild will mirror the transformation of Azeroth, reborn through the restructuring of guild hierarchy and primary focus.

Potato Sack Orphans – Cataclysm Patch Notes

*25man raiding will be abandoned for the formation of several 10man raiding groups.

*An unbiased recruitment of social players, as well as groups of friends, will be promoted.

*The ability to invite members to the guild will be bestowed upon all raiding members, and the capability of guild rank promotion will be granted to those who decide to lead groups.

*The guild’s website will be wiped clean, providing new space to share the achievements of this new collective. There will also be minor projects to further facilitate 10man raid placement.

*A non-elitist attitude will be adopted by all legacy members, fitting to a guild environment which requires no direct social interaction between its constituent parts.

*Upon generating enough revenue through the guild perk “Cash Flow”, repairs will be enabled for all 10man raiders.

*Guild Ranks will be as such: Guildmaster, WotLK (for our legacy members), Cataclysm Lead (for those who wish to actively run a 10man group), Cataclysm (anyone interested in participating in 10man raiding), Social, and Alt.

*With the launch of Cataclysm, the only member capable of removing players from the guild will be the Guild Master. This is proposed to eliminate unsolicited acts of griefing.

*Yes, we do plan to participate in the new rated battleground system.

—————

The benefits of this reformation are clear: existing players of abandoned guilds can maintain their remaining connections by collectively joining PSO. Socials, alts, and raiders alike will be readily accepted, bestowing the guild with a sense of meta-community; a figurative triumph of fragmentation, supported by a grandiose spectrum of player history.

If you feel this meets your needs of a guild in Cataclysm, contact someone in game expressing your interest in joining. Please state whether a social or raider position is right for you, or if you have any interest in running a 10man within the guild.
