“Redemption” Guild

<Redemption> is looking for quality adult players to expand its current 10-man raiding roster. We welcome all classes and specs, but are particularly looking for the following:

1 Tank
1 Healer
1 Healer/DPS hybrid

Our current guild runs typically occur Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings, with invites beginning at 7:30 PM CST and first pull at 7:45 PM CST. Runs last 2 hours, or longer if all raid members agree or replacements can be made. The new group we are expanding will be running Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday, with a later start time of 8:00 PM CST, although that is still open to discussion.

We are a long-standing guild on this server, and celebrated our 2-year anniversary this past May. We started this guild as a place where adults could gather and enjoy raiding while still being able to maintain a healthy balance between game time and real life. We use a DKP loot system that rewards participation in raids and in standby positions on raid nights, but we do not require a minimum raid attendance, and the point structure is set up so that new players can quickly accumulate points to begin purchasing gear upgrades. We are currently concentrating on Cataclysm content, but we do schedule Retro Raids for Northrend and Old World raids. Don't mistake the 'casual' nature of our raiding schedule as a 'casual' attitude towards raiding, though. We strive to have fun in our raids, but also stress to treat these raids with the appropriate amount of seriousness and concentration in order to make what time we have to raid efficient and ultimately successful.

We have all of the usual features of any of the top guilds of today: professional website with forums and live chat, stable Ventrilo server, full guild bank, snazzy tabard, and serving wenches in our guild hall*. We will help you in learning more about your class, maximizing gear choices, gemming, and enchanting. We have a lot of knowledgeable players in Redemption, and every member is eager to learn even more about the game we love from our fellow players, and to grow as individuals and as a team.

What they don't have is our player diversity. Our current roster is comprised of about 25% female players. Our median player age is 32-35. Our player base consists of doctors, lawyers, IT professionals, military personnel, musicians, and more. We have couples, both married and those in long-term relationships. We even have an extended family that consists of a mother, her sister, and her son and daughter. In short, we have a diverse set of people in this guild that makes logging in and playing fun and interesting, and the chances are good that if you give us a chance, you'll find that we can offer a fun environment to spend your game time in.
