“Have fun, don't be a dick and make the game more fun for others.”

The statements below are intended to give prospective members some insight into the rewards of membership. Please be advised that while membership has its privileges, it is a two-way street. If you are given membership in BOH you are expected to see the bigger picture and help support the guild in whatever way appropriate. Guild progression, representation and harmony will ALWAYS trump personal interest. In BOH we value not only skilled and well played toons but the player themselves.

Prospective Raider FAQ's
1) How do I join BOH?
1a) Fill out an app or be referred in by a BOH officer

2) Will I be guaranteed a raid spot?
2a) No one is guaranteed a raid spot. The more reliable, friendly and skilled you are, the more you will raid by default.

3) How does loot work?
3a) We use Suicide Kings, you can read more about that system HERE if you like. When first joining BOH you will be an “Initiate” for 30 days, during which time you aren't on the SK list. Once you become a full member you are added to the SK list and bid loot like the rest of us.

4) Does that mean I won't get any loot?
4a) No, it means you don't have priority on loot over a member. In practice however, new folks generally get more loot then our members because our members are typically already geared and don't need the loot.

5) Why do I have to fill out an app? I hate apps...
5a) The application tells us a few things about you that we would like to know when deciding if you would be a good fit for BOH. Think of it as an opportunity to make exactly the first impression you want.

6) Do you guys run 25mans?
6a) BOH is a 10man guild and we currently have no aspirations to grow to a 25man.

7) What is your raid schedule?
7a) Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday 5:30 – 9 server (8:30 – midnight Eastern)

8) Are you looking for <insert class/role here>?
8a) We are always looking for skilled players who are friendly and reliable.

9) What do you look for in an applicant?
9a) Friendly, reliable players who know how to play their toons and aren't largely gear motivated. People who use the game as a social outlet to make real friends and who are looking for a home where they can come and raid/PVP/quest/run heroics and hang out. You must also take constructive criticism well and be open to change.

10) Is there a gear requirement?
10a) If you wish to raid, you must be appropriately geared to be an asset to the raid.

11) So lets say I get into BOH, what now?
11a) You register your forum acct, study boss strats posted in the members forums, signup via the in-game calendar and get to know your fellow guild mates. There are no cliques in BOH but the effort to help you become part of BOH is just as much your responsibility as it is ours.

Prospective PVP Member FAQ's
1) What is a PVP Member?
1a) In BOH a PVP Member is a member who's primary focus is participating in Arena and Rated Battle Grounds in Cata. You will represent the guild with your victories and in turn receive rewards and support that only a raid guild can offer, all while dictating your own commitment level.

2) Why be a PVP Member in BOH?
2a) BOH's Guild Leader (Stout) is an old school Grand Marshal, he has GM'd one of the most prolific PVP guilds to ever hit WOW (Gods of War on Black Dragonflight) and personally had a hand in making “several” Rank 14s, 13s and numerous Rank 12s. In no other raiding guild will you get a Guild Leader who understands the passion and dedication required to be a winner in WOW's honor system.

3) How will BOH help me win in PVP?
3a) In BOH, if you win you get rewarded. We are a prolific raiding guild with access to those hard to get PVE pieces that give you the edge but are only available through raiding. You represent us well and we will help you get into the raids that give you access to the PVE loot you need to have the edge. We will do whatever we can to get you in and get you access to the pieces you need (short of gimping guild progression), all you have to do is win.

3a) In BOH you will have early access to high-end crafted pieces from one of our many guild crafters and we'll even “assist” you with some of the harder to get crafting mats.

3a) Wanna raid too? Thats fine, we'll try to match you up with one of our 10mans which fits your schedule and commitment level so you can have the best of both worlds.

Prospective Social Member FAQ's
1) What is a “Social Member”?
1a) In BOH a Social Member is one who is “primarily” involved in aspects of the game other than raiding progression content.

2) What are the advantages of being a Social Member in BOH?
2a) Social Members have a much more flexible schedule from not raiding at all and not having any schedule requirements to light raiding with limited schedule requirements.

2a) Social Members are often not permitted in raiding guilds. This means they have no chance of ever seeing any high end loot or achievements. BOH welcomes Social Members and we will do our best to help support them.

2a) BOH will have access to more guild levels in Cata than most guilds, this in turn means you as a Social Member get access to more guild perks.

2a) BOH supports Social runs of legacy content and gives its Social Members the organization of a raiding guild, vent access and access to high end crafters to twink out your many alts.

3) What is expected of me as a Social Member in BOH?
3a) As a Social Member, you decide your commitment level and while you won't be pushing end-game content alongside our raiders, you share their victories and have a real chance of seeing that same content eventually.

BOH supports its Social Members with access to their own Officer (the Social Officer) to help with setting up events and conflict resolution. We're committed to making the social experience of BOH a fun and exciting and valued part of the guild.
