Vanquish is a 25 man raiding guild that has been around almost 5 years now. We had a slow start in the beginning of the expansion and have picked up steam and are hitting Dragon Soul full force. We have a very solid core team of players, but have a few holes to fill. You are apping for a raid spot, not to sit on the bench.

Our 3 day raid week is Tues-Thurs 7:30 - 11:30 CST.

As an applicant we require you to be on for all raids during your app period. There will be times where you will sit, please have the understanding and mature about it. We rotate members for class balance and comp. Once memebered you will be required to be on for 80% of all raids.

As a guild we generally run off-night raids such as GDKP and alt raids as most of us enjoy raiding and playing the game with each other. Our vent conversation are generally pretty adult in nature and we commonly joke with each other and many of us have a very creative vocabulary, so you'll probably learn words you have not conceived yourself. While we play hard and joke hard, we do respect each other and expect our applicants to honor and return these things. When it's GO time, and we need to focus, the ability to put your 110% out even after wiping many times over is very important.

Here is a basic outline of what we are looking for in an applicant and what they can expect out of us.

Attitude
If you don’t have a good raiding attitude, do not apply. Come prepared with necessary gear, pots, and reagents. Wipes are an inevitability of breaking into new content, be willing to suck it up and come back with more determination then before. Own up to your own mistakes, everyone makes them. It often happens but own up to it and try and avoid it the second time around. Listen, learn, and be prepared to adjust, take and offer constructive criticism. We do not want players who will just whine, moan and groan every time we wipe or fail to get a target. Vanquish is looking for dedicated players who are willing to stay till the end, give their best and put in that little extra effort to make us successful.

Being an applicant
This part isn’t all fun and games. You will receive raid attendance for the raid even if you are not in it (if we are full) as long as you stay online. You will most likely not get into every single raid we have, however it would be in your best interest to park your main outside of the zone in, and be on an alt until you are asked to join the raid.

Gear
We DO expect you to have adequate gear, for the level of raiding we are at; it will prove to us that you put some effort into making your character well geared for your current or future specs. As an applicant, you will end up getting gear. Naturally raiders will have priority, don’t worry gear will come. Gear isn’t everything; your attitude, contribution, and skill are more important for us. If you feel as though you can be an exceptional addition to our guild, but your gear is slightly below par, feel free to apply still.

Skill
We are looking for players who learn quickly, have good reflexes, and have a good understanding of their class. We have no idea if you are a skillful player when you apply. That is why we have a two week (or 6 raids) application period: we will find out just how well you perform in raids.

Experience
It helps if you have some experience with the current end game content raids, however, if you don’t, please still apply with us. We are always willing to teach new things and help you learn encounters, for the right players.

Communications
We as a guild use a ventrillo server, and it is required that you are able to speak and listen to it during raid times, not only to hear strategies but also give feedback.

Connection
You need to have a strong and reliable connection, DC’s happen, but need to be the exception not the rule.

Loot
We now use a loot list system. Members research and submit a list of their BIS items ordered 1-17 in the priority of what items are most valuable to them. When loot drops officers distribute the loot to the person who named the item at the highest priority in their list.
