Guild Profile

Primary Language: English
Raids per week: 2
semi-hardcore
Recruiting (outdated):
all classes
We were the top guild on Terenas for two expansions and a Top 200 guild during our hey day. Then real life kicked in, people got married, got knocked up, knocked people up, joined the military, went to college ... Many people stopped playing all together or joined random Top 100 US guilds. Things seem to have settled down in the world (a la the economy and global war on terror), so we are all slowly migrating back in order to be the top American two-night guild in WoD (which is really just fun to say).

Our focus is on building our Mythic team for WoD, but as people migrate back to Terenas we will start working together on current content until the PTR drops. I wouldn't be shocked if we finished MoP 14/14 HM while practicing for WoD.

We are accepting high-quality players to join our team from the ground up.

Read more about our anal-retentive plans below:

Team Mission Statement: The mission of this team is to play with like-skilled, like-minded players in an environment that pushes progression at an advanced rate without detracting from game enjoyment and real-life commitments.

Team Vision: The vision of this team is to leverage the talent and synergy of our players to be one of the top two-night-per-week guilds in the country and compete for all server firsts – even against guilds who are committing more time per week.

Raiding Schedule: Raids are currently scheduled Sunday and Monday from 8 p.m. to midnight Terenas time.

Requirements: While we plan to raid at a top level, we do not plan to spend top-level time in mandatory game times. As such it will be essential all team members accomplish the following …

1. Research character talents, skills, rotations and itemization fully. There should never be a time when a player does not or is not aware of everything going on with the class and spec being played.

2. Research and have on character any and all consumables that might be required to maximize play. This includes flasks, foods and potions.

3. Research and understand all raid encounter dynamics. This includes buffs, debuffs, damage-dealing abilities and any other pertinent details to videos.

NOTE: Video and/or walk throughs of the selected strats will be available for research as soon as they are selected. Individual players will be expected to take the strat being used and localize if for character use. For example, if a player’s character is a tank, then the expectation will be that said player learns the selected strat and takes it one step further by becoming intimately aware of all tank requirements.

4. Healthy competition and mutual support. Competition between players ensures complacency does not kick in and everyone stays sharp. If one person starts to perform at a level far exceeding peers, the expectation is this player will share knowledge with peers. The expectation is the majority of all team players will rank in respective categories each week.

5. Players will be expected to hold themselves fully accountable for preparation and execution.

6. Excellent attendance. With only two nights per week of raid time scheduled, it is essential all players are available as much as possible to build continuity and synergy. Absences happen. Frequent absences will require corrective actions.

7. Patience. Raid teams hit bosses that cause problems (Twin Emps, M’uru, Lich King HM …). These bosses are just another challenge. Patience is required when things do not come easy. Do not have an entitled-I-need-things-now attitude. Have a –holy-shit-this-boss-sucks-let’s-hurry-to-learn-and-kill-him-together attitude.

Corrective Actions: In the event a team member fails to meet standards, corrective actions will be taken to correct the negative play or remove the player from the team. Planned corrective actions are as follows (the team leaders reserve the right to remove a team member for egregious conduct; this will require a 60-percent vote for approval from all team leaders) in the order listed …

1. Verbal counseling.

2. Written counseling.

3. Reduction in rank to reserve member.

4. Removal from raid team.

(Do those "corrective actions" seem ate up? Makes sense, the GM is a senior NCO in the Air Force. Apparently they document a lot of stuff before they fire people.)

Gear Distribution: Gear will be handled on a case-by-case basis designed to push the team forward at the quickest rate possible. A 60-percent team-leader vote will be required to distribute gear. The following will be taken into consideration (in no particular order):

1. Attendance

2. Contribution

3. Performance

4. Personal effort to self-equip

5. Need

NOTE: We do expect players will determine a loot rotation among their peers. It is not expected loot will ever be a distraction on this team.

Conflict Resolution: Conflict is not anticipated based on the type of player being recruited to this team. However, in the event some form of conflict arises, the expectation is that it is handled at the lowest level possible.

EXAMPLE: There is a disagreement between Player A and Player B. Players A and B are expected to resolve said conflict between themselves in a professional manner. If Players A and B cannot resolve said conflict, they should bring it to the attention of a team leader. If said team leader cannot resolve said conflict, the team leader will bring it to the attention of all team leaders who will determine (60-percent vote) how to appropriately handle said conflict.

NOTE: All conflict will be handled in a professional manner. Personal opinions and relationships will not influence the decision-making process.

Team Leader Roles: The design of this team is that no one person will bear total responsibility for the team. It is impossible for one person to manage all facets of leadership without burning out or missing something and making a decision detrimental to the team. As such, the following team leader positions are in effect and completely interchangeable based on in-game or real-life requirements.

Administrator: This position is responsible for general administration of the guild. Position responsibilities include general leadership/followership vision and execution, long-term planning for the team and plan execution.

Raid Leader: This position is responsible for developing and implementing raid strats that meet the needs of team progression. Positions responsibilities include raid leadership/followership vision and execution, long-term planning for the raids and plan execution.

Recruiter: This position is responsible for maintaining a roster of 25 capable raiders who are prepared and talented enough to step in at a moment’s notice. Position responsibilities include intimate knowledge of the raid roster, player talents/performance, recruiting players as needed to fill team roles and rotating players as necessary to advance progression and ensure comparable ilvl for all raiders.

Heal Coordinator: This position is responsible for integrating all healers into the Raid Leader’s developed raid strategy. Position responsibilities include ensuring all healers are using necessary add ons, optimal rotations and playing to the expected standard.

DPS Coordinator: This position is responsible for integrating all DPS into the Raid Leader’s developed raid strategy. Position responsibilities include ensuring all DPS are using necessary add ons, optimal rotations and playing to the expected standard.
