About Us

<Blur> is a guild of veteran raiders who bring high-end raiding experience (US Top 5-100) together with genuine respect for our IRL time. Once a hardcore raiding guild, we now focus on creating an environment that encourages focused, skilled, and dedicated play twice a week, just 7 hours total, for the purpose of enjoying content and racking up boss kills together.

Today, our leaders, officers, and core members are many of the same players who drove our rise in WotLK from that of an unknown guild, to top Horde, to top server, having forged lasting friendships which allowed us to stay in touch long after retiring at the end of Wrath.

We were inspired to return in WoD to connect with old friends and did so with no plans of rekindling our hardcore ways. Old habits die hard, however, and despite a casual approach to raid-scheduling, we could not shut off a hardcore mentality once inside a raid instance. As a result, we were joined by players, new faces encountered through our WoD adventures with similar raiding backgrounds and the same desire to get the absolute most out of this game without the 5 day/20+ hour commitments of the old days. Motivated by the caliber of players we met and personalities we enjoyed, we opened our doors once again, having spent almost all of WoD deliberately without recruitment efforts.

Taking our first steps as a new team with a late, December start in M HFC, we nonetheless closed the expansion at 13/13M HFC going 12/13 ahead of pre-patch.

We carried this momentum and success into Legion, driving improvements in our approach and securing stronger kill-ranks with each end-boss. From a very humble US-600 beginning to our top 20 climb among US 2-day guilds in NH and ToS, we never slowed, never stalled, and drove hard into Antorus for a respectable US-130 finish, securing our place as a US Top 10 2-day guild for the xpac.

While we are infinitely proud of our Legion accomplishments, we do not rest on our laurels. Our commitment to continuous improvement is absolute. Earning a US top 100 finish with Mythic BoD (US-96), we continued our upward trend and closed out Mythic Eternal Palace at US-72, and finished Nyalotha at US-52, ranking Top 3 for US 2-day guilds. And so, with lessons learned and memories made our Battle for Azeroth journey comes to a close. Up next? Shadowlands.

Bottom line

- We do NOT require attendance.
We have a full Mythic raiding roster each raid because our players WANT to raid, and WANT to raid with us.

- We do NOT tell our raiders to come prepared for raid.
Because this goes without saying and people who play with us would never bring less than their best to any group who welcomes them.

-We enforce low-time, high-quality.
We make the absolute most out of the time we put in. Our leadership will not ask for extra days, extra hours. Therefore, our players will not bring less than 100% come raid time.

-We are a REAL 2-day guild.
Seriously. Check our logs. If you run 1 "optional farm day" before your progression raids, and dedicate multiple lines in your guild description to explain it off, you ARE a 3-day guild. Period.

**- jk. COVID got real midway through Nzoth prog, so for our last 2 resets we did wtf-ever our guild wanted us to do. We make no apologies for keeping our guys happy and distracted-- our guild's morale will always come first. That said, we remained well under the hours raided by our friendly 8 hr/wk+ competitors. Our final pull count, total hours raided, and consistent success in previous tiers, speaks for itself. Our logs are public, enjoy.

- We do NOT have drama.
No, really. We don't. It's not our style, not our environment. We screen-in for skill, but screen-out for crap personalities. A**holes do not exist on our roster.

- You WILL love us. ;)
Really, you will. Long after WoW has faded from your day-to-day, you'll keep in touch with many of us, both in and out of games. We've proven this to be true already.

Recruitment

Currently Prioritizing: 1 healer with top 100 US experience and high-end performance. History of successful multi-classing greatly desired. Disc priest must be one of those classes.

We remain open to exceptional players regardless of class/role.

Please note that our recruitment needs do NOT reflect an active gap in our roster. We believe in solid roster-planning and recruit with long-term goals in mind; therefore, we are never in a rush and will NOT recruit below high standards to fill a spot.

Interested applicants should be able provide competitive, Mythic logs for current content. We will not consider an applicant without being able to extensively review the details of your play. Your previous guild's decision to private log will NOT be accepted as an excuse.

At this time, we recommend applicant progression be 12/12M Ny'alotha.

Returning players: While we are always open to new talent, it is unlikely that we will consider a returning player who does not have competitive logs (high personal performance at US top 50 pace or better) within this expansion. Logs must be on the character of interest, and should demonstrate effective progression play over farm.

SPECIAL NOTE: We are open to high-end M+ only players. Reach out if you are looking for a guild with high M+ activity and access to off-day raids. This is not a main-roster position. Healers/Tanks a plus!

PST JanierRyn#1694 or Dozzur#1828 for recruitment.
Please make an effort to contact us outside of our raid times. Thanks!

Sale Runs: Please contact JanierRyn#1694 for inquiries as to our Heroic and Mythic sales options. Payment for our sales are gold-ONLY and will be paid, in-game to Rayelin or Teme at time of sale.
