Patch 7.2.5 Mythic Plus data reset

As we did before, in Patch 7.2.5 we also reset our Mythic Plus Score and Mythic Plus Runs due to difficulty change.

All previous runs are saved, you can see them in Season 1 / Season 2 tabs.

Also, we have got many new awesome features to come, check back later!

    my character doesnt show the pre 7.2.5 score now but others do

    is it just bugged or is there something i can do?^^

    Lots of COS +21 runs show up, but aren't present in the blizzard leaderboards. Seems to be some bug, --- doesn't show them as well.

    That was an odd thing and it is fixed now. Please let me know if there will be wrong runs again.

    yep i also got a problem in m+ scoreboard i have more then 800 points what u can see on my profile. but when i go to the ladder i have only 300 points and yesterday it was still good

    Did you just redude the points per level because I see a massive mscore drop overall? As in if a +20 gave around 200 points, now it's around 120-130?

    They might have started using different points distribution and penalizing not in time runs like --- does.

    We are in progress of updating the scoring system: failed runs will grant only 75% of score value.
    It's not finished and scores can be incorrect now, I will post an update when it's done.

    problem is that for example, if I failed a +15 cos, i'll get around 150*75%=112.5 points, and i'll get 140 pts with so called "success" in +14 cos. So in this case, which point will be counted?

    and now it seems only 3 chests is counted as "success". not in time/+1/+2 are all 25% reduced?

    I think it is a good idea to reduce points if a key wasnt intime. Especially if you think about the changes that you cant deplete keys anymore.

    But... I did 13 Vault of the wardens in time and got 130 points. I did a 17 BRH 30 seconds out of time and get less points than in the 13 Vault. I also finished a 16 BRH intime - that should count at least with 160 points. Still the highest not intime keys should be shown, but they shouldnt count.

    To me it is very confusing right now.

    yeah, not loving these changes. i have a arcway 16 that we missed by 1.5 mins, yet I get 90 pts for it. could do a 10-15 in time and get more value? It devalues pushing higher keys

    I have to say I agree too. I think that it is a good idea to get less points if we don't make it in time, but finishing a +17 out of time should have more value than a 16 in time. (like 170 for a 17 with timer and 165 without, while ofc +16 with timer is still 160 points).

    WTF... So pushing higher keys has no reward? Better to do a 14 in time than a 19? Seriously, what's wrong with you... Done a 18 HOV yesterday, and now I see that my in time +14 DHT gives more points, I don't think this will work guys...

    What people above me have said in no way i think for example a 20 key not in time should be rated lower than a 19 with 1 chest lets say because of the exponential scaling the dungeon difficulty hops become larger and larger while the point system is linear

    Hey, if you want implement penalties for finishing not in time, I think there should be linear scaling, for example: finishing CoS in 30 minutes or less gives 100% key score, in 60 minutes (2x time) or more gives 75% score, anything between 30 and 60 scales linearly from 100% to 75%. I don't think that players who barely missed the timer and players who completed dungeon in 6+ hours should be scored equally.
    And a fact, that 13 in time gives more score than 17 not in time (let's say, 1 minute more than timer), doesn't look reasonable, besides that M+ difficulty increases exponentially.

    On the other hand, finishing very high m+, on the cost of hours of tries should still be rewarded. Wow is currently full of people that think when they enter an instance it's only a matter of minutes before they roll on everything. These people will probably finish middle (12-15 current difficulty) m+ on time but will be carried by their ilvl. People who are actually ready to spend hours of gameplay trying again and again to get through very high m+ (15-20+ current difficulty) should most definitely get more points.

    Or just give max points to the fastest run happened on +2 and give less and less while you take more time ...

    Oh well. The old score system was much better.

    -- It was simple to understand, basically just 10 score for each level.
    -- Now it's too complex, can't understand how it works.
    -- It's also unfair. Is a 17 in time really worth more than a 19 that missed the timer by just 2 mins? The difficulty of mythic+ scales in an exponential fashion. A 19 is much harder than a 18, which is much harder than a 17, etc. The old system which just tracked the max level was a much more accurate representation of the real difficulty.

    Some keys arent shown anymore like my COS 17. But I guess that they will show up again, it's just because they are still working on the site.

    I did Lower kara 18 and only get 127 points. Should think about doing a 13 intime - that gives me 3 more points xD

    Let's think about the changings. If the system is staying like this people will not decide because of m+ score, they will have to look closer to what keys people have made in what timer and decide then.

    I would prefer just delete m+ score or do it the way it was. I can't compare my own perfomance now with my performance on 7.2 because there are different scoring-systems. Or let's say the new scoring system will make it harder for me to compare, because the old scoring is not a point of reference.

    On the other hand a new scoring is nice to have, with small differences for in time and not in time (cant happen that 18 not in time gives the same amount of points like 13 in time, because there are people who are doing 13 intime but never will finish any 18 key - it feels penalizing for players who are able to finish).
    It is nice to have, because more players are able to play higher keys just because people cant deplete keys anymore. there are people getting boosted through higher keys for gold for example and they are getting a higher score and getting invited and are destroying the game experience of other players. But this can always happen.

    The old system were like:

    13 grants ~129 points
    12 grants ~119 points

    How would it be like this:

    13 in time: ~ 130 points
    13 not in time ~ 125 points
    12 intime ~ 120 points
    12 not in time ~ 115 points

    In that example there would be a difference (also in whole amount of m+score over all)
    10 keys 13 intime = 1300
    10 keys 13 not intime = 1250

    And in that example it doesnt feel like a penalty, it feels like a motivation to get better.

    that seems logical, however, based on what it looks like now, a +12 3chest may be more valueable than a +14 1 chest....

    Just give the old score system back.. The tank and healing score is good but normal points is way easier to understand.

    Scoring update done. The system works a bit different now, there is no penalty for failed runs.
