Easier character confirmation with Battle.net sync

It is now possible to confirm all your toons at once by linking your Battle.net account.

- Make sure you have an account on WoWProgress. Create one if you don't.

- Proceed to Profile Page


- Press "Sync with Battle.net" button

- You will be redirected to Battle.net site, login there if needed and press "Allow" button to allow WoWProgress application to get your basic info.


- WoWProgress automatically imports your Battletag and list of your characters.

- You can hide your Battletag by unchecking "Show to everyone" checkbox

- You can hide your characters by unchecking "Reveal Ownership" checkboxes (characters will be excluded from LFG search)

    Good Feature but...

    i got now 30 Characters on my Profile. Maybe only detect and import Level 110 characters?

    Okay, I've changed it so that /user/ page only shows max level characters.

    But you still see them in your /profile/ page, characters sorted by level there.

    Sometimes guild master and officer ranks passed to lower level characters, so we have to import all characters.

    is it possible that every profile page got a Link/Symbol to their logs?

    Doesnt work for me at all... I clicked. I wasnt redirected to anywhere, just back to guild list where I was before "Profile" page. Nothing is happening. I loged into bnet on web,no notifications, nothing.

    What happens when you try to sync another account? Have you tried to logout on battle.net first?

    Yes, it uses oAuth 2.0 protocol, data encoded with SSL.
    We do NOT receive your Battle.net credentials, only temporary authentication token. Your authentication happens on Battle.net site.

    Dunno if its intended or not, but since I sync it my characters won't show in "WoW Characters" without being marked with "Reveal Ownership". Before that I was able to see all of my characters in that section without them being revealed.

    I think you misunderstood me. Before I used the sync I was able to see all my characters that I've confirmed while logged in by clicking on my name f.e. "logged in as xy". There where listed then under "WoW Characters". So only I was able to see that specific site while I was logged in. Now they are not even shown there for myself if I don't "reveal ownership" so that everyone else would be able to track my alts.

    /user/ is public, everyone can see it.

    You always can see all your characters in /profile/.

    In /user/ only characters that you reveal were shown.

    Now I've made a change so that if owner looks in /user/, he will see all his character.

    Is that okay?

    The creators) please tell me how to be someone who plays on 1 battle no account, two accounts...it is not possible to link the two accounts wowprogress....could you make some function that would be available to both new and old function?

    I'm trying to switch my main on this site to get better use of the M+ karma, so I went to add all my characters via bnet but only my single toon is showing up for me still. When I reclick the 'Sync with Battle.net' button it puts me straight to the confirmation then loops me between that and 'My WoW Characters' which is still just my single toon. Am I totally overlooking a link to add my toons somewhere?

    If you go to worldofwarcraft.com, do you see all your characters there?
    Battle.net API returns for us that your character list is empty.

    I'm an idiot... I double checked on the wow site and it was trying to auto log me in with my guild account. Thank you so much and I'm really SO sorry that I wasted so much of your time. They're all coming up now :D

    The old method work fine for friends of mine.
    The one in OP doesnt even work for me. Tried for the last 1 1/2 days. Always getting this:

    We've got an error from Battle.net. Please try again in several minutes.

    Please implement the old method aswell :)

    I've a problem with Syncing my battle net account with wowprogress.
    I followed the "Tutorial" Step by Step but i did one mistake. When wow asked me to permit the sync I unchecked the "Your World of Warcraft profile [Allow]".
    Since then it's always saying "We've got an error from Battle.net. Please try again in several minutes." when i want to retry it.
    Can you help me to Solve it?

    I try to synch my acc, too. But every time I try to synch, i got an error "We've got an error from Battle.net." It happened for two days now. I really need to update my chars. Is it possible to update them like the former version (Log out without wearing some items)?!

    had the same thing, turns out I did not have my email confirmed, so swapped adress, confirmed it and it worked. (in the second attempt it synced my chars)

    If you manage to make it work somehow or talk to anyone please reply here. I made a new account, changed e-mails but I have no other idea what to try... also, there's no contact info or staff to talk to, discord is closed/dead, it seems there's legit only 1 guy in charge of this website and he's awol xD

    I get this message everytime i try to sync my wowprogress account with Bnet. Deleted the thing from bnet before every try as the text above suggests. What to do? :(

    Syncing works fine, just that it simply refuses to add 1 character. If I manually look it up, no problem, but I cant add it yo my profile.

    Removing non-active WoW characters

    Due to the updated Blizzard API Policy, we have to refresh all the characters no less frequently than every 30 days. At the moment WoWProgress updates members of active raiding guilds several times a month. Characters that are not members of such guilds most probably will be removed from our database if you don't update them manually.
    If a character was deleted (or moved) by the player, we also have to remove it from our database.
