“Rock Paper Scissors” Guild

Rock Paper Scissors is a 10-man raiding and high-end arena guild on Al'Akir. Before we moved here from Draenor we were the top arena guild on the server as well as number one in 10-man PvE progression. On Al'Akir, however, we are hoping to prove ourselves in Icecrown. RPS is a group of friends, with a core that has been playing together for over 2 years. We provide hardcore raiding, but on a casual schedule. Because we only raid three nights a week, we are one of the few guilds that is able to offer quality raiding to serious arena players.

Our PvE progress:
ToGC 10: 5/5 (with Tribute to Dedicated Insanity server first on Draenor)
Ulduar: 14/14 (9/9 HM; "He Feeds on Your Tears" Algalon achievement)

What are we looking for?
We have two very distinct types of members. Raiding members and PvP-only members. While the requirements are different, we prefer players that excel at both. We value our reputation and the friendly atmosphere within the guild, so every member is required to maintain a respectful and mature attitude at all times.

Raiding members:
If you want to raid with RPS you need to be one of the best players in your class, very motivated to compete and to be able to maintain a near 100% attendance. We are far from desperate for recruits, so your application will need to show that you are serious about joining us. Recruitment is always open for exceptional candidates, even in classes we don't particularly need, provided that you can outperform existing members for your raid spot.

PvP-only members:
We also recruit people for arena, but require a strict minimum of 2000 arena rating in at least one bracket. Please don't bother applying if you don't have this minimum rating, unless you have a Gladiator-title or a proven track record of playing above 2200 and you are confident that you can make 2000 within a few days of joining. The trial period for PvP-only members consists of a few weeks to evaluate if they can maintain their ratings and if they behave respectfully within the guild as well as to outsiders.

What can you expect from us?
We don't tolerate slacking and there is no chance of having to carry mediocre players in our raids (which is one of the reasons why we picked 10-man over 25-man raiding). As a raider, you can expect to see all the 10-man content on hardmode before most other people. As we started raiding after ToC was released we are just in the EU top 200 for now, but for Icecrown we are aiming at being one of the first 50 guilds in the world that clear the 10-man version on herioc difficulty. Apart from our main raids, we are also starting up casual runs with alts of raiding members as well as PvP-only or social members that want to do an occasional raid.

We can occasionally seem a little harsh to the poorly skilled, but we are actually quite nice and friendly. We are very demanding, but if you prove yourself in the guild you will find that we are a friendly group of like-minded individuals. This isn't just limited to raids, many of our members hang out on Ventrilo socially and play their alts or PvP together whenever there isn't anything official going on.
