“Pendulum” WoW Guild

Pendulum is a very established semi-casual raiding guild on Kul Tiras EU (over 1 year old now) with a great core group of players who are never tired about raiding and having fun toghether playing WoW. We have very experienced people, most of us are geared to the teeth, and we just need a few more friends to join our community to keep working with Ulduar 25 and hard-modes. The core members have been part of the guild since its start, and they're the strenght of this guild.

What characterizes us and makes us a bit different than other semi-casual raiding guilds is our atmosphere: We're very serious about raiding, yet we're not military style, and we still belive in having fun as humans, with human values being considered on top of everything. The GM (myself) is an old boot (30+ yrs old) so you can be sure that if you're committed, do your job and follow our rules, you won't have some young kid yelling at you or going emo without a reason, but rather you'll have your chance too to have fun with us even for a chit chat on Vent :)

We strive to be the best in what we do not because we want to get server firsts (we consider ourselves a semi-casual raiding guild, thus we aren't after that) but because we do really care about "Quality" raiding and "Quality" time spent into raids. Most of us have families and jobs, which means we enjoy our free time with what has now become our passion since years: WoW, but we respect people's life and their IRL Constraints too.

with ICC on its way, we have opened up the recruting again and are looking for a few stable and dedicated raiders to face this new challenge with us. It's likely that people applying now and showing commitment, dedication and great skills will reserve a stable raiding spot, so this is the time for all those "WoW nerds" like us out there who have these qualities as well as willing to enjoy the game with laughs and jokes. We threat each other like brothers with heavy jokes too sometimes, but we're very very tied up together, which makes our guild very strong in terms of reliability.

What can Pendulum offer you:

- A stable, friendly and mature raiding environment with people who know what they're doing and are always ready to raid after having read boss tacts, watched videos and coming fully prepared with consumables and whatever else is needed to raids.

- A long-term guild;

- DKP based (Public Bidding) looting system; Points earned based on Instance specific (feel free to read our rules on our guild web-site);

- 25men and 10men Instance clear-outs every week;

- Ventrilo use for all guild members;

- Very low level of drama. Due to the nature of the guild, a lot of members are grown-ups who know each other very well, and it's seldom to see drama or QQ unless it's someone new who doesn't know us well yet. Drama is bound to every guild. We try to keep its levels to a bare minimum, and tend to quickly get rid of people abusing it, which consequently makes our raiding times enjoyable and peaceful.

- Everyone in the guild will respect you, regardless of your nationality, sex, religion or whatever else. Everyone here has full respect, unless bad behaviour happens which will lead to a guild kick anyways. The guild is "kids-free" :)

- English spoken in raid chat and vent.

What we expect from you:

- You must be a supremely dedicated and skilled raider;
- You must be loyal, have positive attitude and common sense;
- Raid preparation, including knowledge of the encounter(s) at hand as well as the proper spec, gems, enchants, glyphs, professions, and consumables to maximize raid performance;
- You must know your class well but also should admit there is always more to learn and constantly strive to improve your play;
- You must be willing to admit when you screwed up something: bad things can happen sometimes, but if nobody’s willing to own up to them, we can’t correct the situation that caused the problem;
- Dedication: real life happens, but if you can’t make it to raid consistently then we are not the right guild for you;
- You must use a reasonably powerful computer and guarantee a stable network connection consistently. If you constantly say "I lagged out" or "I DC'd" moments after starting an encounter, you'll find yourself sitting out of the raid often.
