Raid to Nowhere
Raid to nowhere was created pre-WotLK by a group of friends that had been playing World of Warcraft for a long time in different guilds but whose paths kept on crossing, in positive ways, throughout the years. Our intention is to progress through the content that Blizzard provides us with, while at the same time providing a friendly and lighthearted (and at often times somewhat weird) atmosphere.
Members of Raid to Nowhere are people with real lives, families, jobs, friends and social commitments outside of World of Warcraft (imagine that!). We respect your time and it is our aim to make the limited scheduled raid time we have a good time. You will never be asked to raid an extra day or extended hours and non-raid day activities are purely optional.
Our raid schedule(Server Time - GMT+1):
Wednesday: 20:00-00:00
Thursday/Friday/Saturday: Go out and drink ffs!
Sunday: Recuperate from drinking
Monday: 20:00-00.00
Due to our 2 day a week schedule a commitment to 100% attendance is preferred.
What we are looking for
Generally we are looking for players that match our mindset when it comes to the game, as it is not only just a game but it is also a social activity that we do for fun. We are a guild that is happy with our motto "Progression at our own pace", for the most part. We want to be the best we can, but we know with only 8 hours a week and a desire for a fun atmosphere, we probably won't be the most hyper-competitive guild around. We don’t cry or b*tch when we lose the roll on loot (it will drop again, better luck next time) and we don’t blame people for making mistakes (well we do, but in a good way, promise). At the same time we require all members to be able to quickly learn fights and to always strive to better themselves as a player (enter all the normal fluff here, about being good at your class, being ready to raid and just generally walking the walk you've been talking on your application form). Our raid time is precious and we all want to make the most of the time we have together. Being friendly, talkative and having the ability to communicate well in game and on Teamspeak is a must.
So, the important stuff, AKA "TLDR":
• You have to be a good player in all the traditional ways, but also a good personality that we're likely to want around
• We have all the normal stuff that guilds say they have even though no one really cares. Bank slots, tabard, repairs etc
• Teamspeak for voice communication (important!)
• Preparation, show up with flasks, pots, books and whatever else can be required for the encounters we have in front of us
• Good attitude
• A sense of humor
A word of warning though: the language in guild and on Teamspeak is, more often than not, of a mature kind with harsh jokes. Often we find ourselves laughing so hard that we can’t see the screen over some really inappropriate jokes (political correctness is not something we’re good with).
Contact us
If you want to be part of a team who knows how to laugh, has a stress free raiding environment but can also put on their serious faces and get the job done, Raid to Nowhere is the place for you.
You can either contact us in game or on our forums. Any recruitment queries should be whispered or PM'd to any of our officers or, in case you have already heard enough and want to apply, you can go to our website where you will find our application form.
