Hello there,

We are <RUDE>, a seasoned raiding guild formerly under the guise of Alone on Aerie Peak (Alliance). After a difficult and challenging escapade during Battle of Dazar'alor and the Eternal Palace, we realized that raiding as Alliance was problematic. As a result, we collectively decided to reroll Horde and now call Illidan our home (yay!).

Raiding with RUDE: What to expect

We're not really rude, and as a matter of fact, we're actually pretty nice people. We raid on a light, 6 hour week with an optional heroic raid occurring every Wednesday from 8:30pm to 11:30pm EST. We provide our raiders with the fundamentals that every raiding guild requires, such as cauldrons (usually two cauldrons per night), vantus runes, food, potions, and all the raid resources you need (boss strategy videos, weak auras, and a lively discord server to ask your questions or to catch up on the latest and greatest (TRANSMOG IDEAS)).

Our raids start promptly at 9:30pm EST, with invites beginning at 9:15pm (a warning will be displayed in discord at 9pm EST), giving you plenty of opportunity to finish whatever it is you are doing so that you aren't holding anything up.

Our roster is small (between 21-26 raiders), and we rotate people in and out based on loot lists, raid/boss dynamics, and finally personal play). If there are multiple people who can sit for a fight, we will typically offer the chance for someone to volunteer first. In general, we try to get everyone in the raid as equally as we can, but please understand that if a raider is sat, a proper explanation will be provided.

Raiding with RUDE: What we expect from you

As a semi-casual guild, it goes without saying that we're here to have fun first, but that does not mean that you can choose when to raid and when to do your homework. We are all volunteering our time equally to be here, so respect your fellow raiders and officer team by showing up to raid on time and ready (as mentioned earlier, flasks, potions, food, and vantus runes are provided prior to the first boss pull). While we fully understand and support real life taking priority, it is expected that you will maintain a 90% attendance adherence and, should you need to miss a raid, provide sufficient notice to any absence by posting it in the absence channel in discord (absence posts within 3 hours of a raid is not sufficient time). The same policy goes for tardiness - if you suspect you might be late, just let us know!

Goals:

Every raiding guild and their mother has goals and aspirations, and we're no different. While we tout our casual raiding hours and mentality, our goal is to obtain Cutting Edge. We recently rebuilt our raid team during Legion, so we are continuously growing and building. We secured a mythic Jaina kill and were able to continue farming it for several weeks, allowing raiders a chance at her mount. Although we pushed hard in Eternal Palace, we were unsuccessful at securing a mythic Azshara kill (though, we had several sub 10% wipes). Instead of calling it quits, we wanted to give a better opportunity for our raiders, leading us to joining the Horde and moving to a larger server.
