“Census and Excise” Guild

Subject: [H]Census & Excise - 3/14H LF DPS/Healer!

Census & Excise [H - 10 man] is a reboot guild new to Bleeding Hollow. Though casual by schedule, we are serious raiders in every other regard. We already have a solid core and are looking for a few more players to polish off the roster. Ideally, you should be (like us) a mature, experienced, and competent player with a good sense of humor. We all have lives outside of the game, but when it is raid time we are ready with our game faces on.

We originally formed and ran this guild in Cataclysm on Sen’Jin. Despite a late start to T11, we quickly became the server’s top 10 man. Unfortunately, due to general Cata recruiting issues as well as real-life ones, we were forced to resign midway through Dragon Soul. Now, with some of that core group back (including our guildmaster and officers) and WoD on the horizon, we are working our way through heroic progression in the current tier. For WoD, we will be going for Mythic progression as soon as possible.

We are just over a month old and are currently 3/14 H, with some attempts in on others. We’ve been making solid progress in our brief time together so far and look to continue this momentum through the rest of Siege of Orgrimmar and Warlods of Draenor mythics.

Tuesday: 9 pm -12 am
Thursday: 9 pm - 12 am
Sunday: 9 pm - 12 am
*All times are EST (server time).

While we understand that real life can come up, we are not recruiting for the bench and your attendance is expected every raid.

Our Expectations

High Standard of Performance

We expect nothing less than the highest performance you can bring. We will address performance issues immediately. If a certain player is a continual issue, they will not be taken to raids.

You should be able to perform your given role in a host of situations and under varying levels of stress. Bad nights happen, but you can’t let that throw you off.

Attention to Details

You should know your rotations as second nature, thus allowing you to pay attention to fight mechanics, conversation in Mumble, etc.

You should know and maintain the best gems, enchants, and consumables for your character.

Constant Consideration for Self-Improvement

The game is constantly changing as new patches come out and player knowledge increases. You should always be thinking about ways to improve your performance.

We expect that you frequent forums, blogs, news sites, and whatever other resources exist to stay up-to-date on mechanics and theorycrafting.

Mature Attitude

Realize that we’re all raiding to progress. If we aren’t progressing, we’ll attempt to fix the problem and may critique something about your playstyle. Don’t take it personally.

Absolutely no drama. There is no reason for this and it will not be tolerated.

Personality Fit

One of the most important aspects of successful raiding is effective cooperation. We want players who think like us, play like us, and have similar interests to ensure that we act as a fully functional team.

We aren’t exactly the most passive bunch. If we aren’t joking around with you in chat, something is wrong. You should be okay with the banter and be able to laugh at yourself (Likewise, you should be able to dish it out as well).

You should actually enjoy playing the game. We like to do various group event even when we’re not raiding. While these aren’t required, it’s nice to see various guild mates on throughout the day.

Reliability

10 mans leave no room for slack. If one person doesn’t show up to a raid, they’re likely holding the rest of the guild back.

Real life happens and we understand that. All we ask is that you communicate with us as quickly as possible, should a conflict arise. We need to be informed.
