Guild Profile

Primary Language: English
Raids per week: unknown
casual
Recruiting (outdated): closed
(NOW ON AREA 52)
We considered ourselves a semi-casual raiding guild, but please don’t mistake the word casual for lazy, unorganized, uninformed, or unskilled. We use the term “casual” to describe the fact that we don’t tell you what class/spec to play, what to do with your game time outside of raids, we don’t expect you to be available to raid every week and we have no problem with your real life commitments. We don’t distribute our raid loot based on rank or seniority or the amount of time (or boss kills) you have spent raiding with us (as in a DKP system), and we don’t agree with systems that indirectly penalize people for having a life outside the game. This isn't a second job, it's something we do in our spare time for fun and some social interaction.

Now for the "semi" part of semi-casual. We expect that when you sign up for a raid it means you are informing us that you will be online unless something important has come up and you have given us sufficient notice that you will be late or unable to attend. We also have strict minimum requirements for gear, skill, and knowledge of the boss mechanics. Our rules may seem long but you'll find that the resulting organized and efficient raids are much more enjoyable than a sloppy raid without these rules. The rules might also seem a bit strict or tough to some people, but you should trust us when we say these are nothing compared to hardcore raiding guilds, and our raid performance is much better than the very casual guild out there. Once you get used to our raiding system you won't even have to think about the rules because it will all be just a natural part of your game play and you'll appreciate why we have this system in place. Trust us!

How we satisfy both "casual" and "progression" players

We have established a system to satisfy both casual raiders and the dedicated highly skilled raiders. There will be normal guild raids open to all raiders, but we will also sometimes run raid groups that are reserved for members who have applied and qualified to be part of what we call our “core pool” of raiders. Entry into the core pool requires an application and character audit, high level of gear, an optimized raid spec, and a expectation of skill. Basically we have much higher expectations for core pool raiders, and we will run a very efficient core-only raid (2 nights a week) in order to advance guild progress. This special group will not appeal to everyone and those who don’t want to participate in it can simply raid as usual with our normal group in the same week. The frequency of a core raid really depends on the amount of raiders we have who are signing up and we are likely to do it more often when we can support 2 raid groups per week. We won’t do it every week though, because we want the guild to still feel united and core pool raiders should still attend normal guild raids regularly. The raiding system here describes the casual group, while the core system has it's own set of rules which are similar but contain higher expectations.

We hope you enjoy our raiding system and we're happy to offer you great raiding experience in MOP, and beyond.
