Guild Profile
Primary Language: English
Raids per week: 3
semi-hardcore
Recruiting (outdated):
druid (balance) | |
hunter | |
mage | |
priest (dd) | |
warlock |
Exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of current
class need.
Current Recruitment need(s):
-Ranged DPS
We will give greater consideration to those willing and able to perform competently in an off-spec role occasionally.
Raid Times (Eastern Time):
* Mondays - 8:30pm to 11:30pm
* Wednesdays - 8:30pm to 11:30pm
* Sundays - 7:30pm to 11:30pm
* Invites go out 15 minutes before the raid begins.
* We DO NOT raid beyond our 10 hour a week schedule.
Raid spots are given out on a raid-by-raid basis based on whoever signs up for a particular night. There is no set raid team. Progression raid spots are given out based very heavily on merit, farm raid spots are more dispersed to give new members an opportunity to show their ability.
Recruit Policy:
Recruits undergo a roughly 1 month "trial period" after joining the guild, after which a decision to accept or decline the recruit is made. Recruits have normal loot privileges during their trial period, and begin with 5 ESP (which is sufficient to roll for most types of items, depending on progression).
About us:
<Electric Sheep> is an established 20 man (Mythic in WoD) raiding guild on Kargath-US that has been raiding since Classic. Kargath is a PvE, EST, Chicago-datacenter server connected with Norgannon as of 1/2014.
Are you a good fit for Electric Sheep?
Obviously, since we raid on a relatively short schedule, we're looking for players who are competitive in their role, and bring their A game on every attempt. However, that's not all we're looking for in a candidate.
1. Love your class, and love getting better.
We're looking for players who love the class they play. If you're the kind of person who likes to research how to squeeze more performance out of the class you play, and takes pleasure in seeing that work pay off in raids, then that's a great first step. In addition to this, we're looking for players who are constantly striving for improvement. Nobody is so good they can't get better, and we strongly believe that continued success can only be achieved by continuing to push ourselves to improve. This leads directly to...
2. Enjoy our style of raiding, and our raid environment.
Our raid environment is fun, and involves a lot of chatting, banter, and general good-timey things. With that said, when it's time to get down to business, we don't mess around. Our very modest raid schedule requires that we make good use of our time, and that always is our top priority. We identify and solve problems quickly and like to move on, which means that everyone at one point or another is the target of direct criticism about their play (albeit in a matter-of-fact manner, there is no yelling or insulting). This isn't to embarrass anyone - it's simply the quickest way to progress, and every prospective member needs to be ok with that sort of environment. We will never be demeaning or insulting, but you must be ok with criticism from time to time. And be willing to work to fix any sort of problems that you may be having with your class, or an encounter in general. We strongly believe that learning is a part of the game, and like to help each other get better.
3. Enjoy being part of an adult community.
We love to raid, and we have a blast doing it, but there's more to the guild than just that. We're looking for potentially long term players who will not just enjoy our raiding experience, but will enjoy being part of an adhesive, close community of players who truly enjoy logging in and playing together. The age ranges of the players in the guild varies greatly, but on the whole it's a positive, adult community. If you're the kind of player who has a tendency to troll in trade or general, mock or insult players from out of guild for any reason, or pick fights with other players, you're simply not going to be a good fit.
Loot System:
As a philosophy, we believe in de-emphasizing time spent on loot and value attributed to it. We entrust our raiders with researching which items are strongest for them and rolling accordingly, providing only basic guidance to assist in fair loot distribution.
Our new system, Electric Sheep Priority, is a tiered priority roll system which aims to quickly and objectively direct loot toward individuals who most need it. When loot drops, all interested players will have the opportunity to roll. Those for whom an item is a large upgrade (10 ilevels or more) will receive priority on the item. As members attend raids, they will generate wishlists which can be traded in to attain top priority on items of particular importance to their spec/roles. New members may roll on any item, but may not roll with increased priority on trinkets or tier pieces during their probationary period. New members raid attendance will still generate wishlists. All raiders may roll on off-spec gear if desired, but those who roll on off-spec gear are expected to be able to use it in a raid, and off-specs we call upon frequently may receive precedence over others. There are a number of specific exceptions, and if you have questions about the loot system we’d be happy to explain in more detail.
