“Verdict” Guild

Verdict was a guild that entered the Cataclysm raiding scene in January of 2011. By the end of February 2011 Verdict's core group of raiders had coalesced. That core consisted of only 6 players including a Rogue, a Warlock, a Hunter, two Resto Druids and a Prot Paladin. Together, this group shared a mentality that can be best phrased by quoting Athene, "Together to the top."

Although Verdict became one of the premier 10 man guilds on its server in terms of constant progression the guild was plagued by never finding quality, mature, and reliable raiders to fill in the remaining 4 raid spots long-term. Still, with having to consistently pug one or more roles during progression, and with constant turnover of off tanks, the third healer, and the remaining two DPS Verdict cleared a total of 29 unique encounters over a 9 month period. The guild went 12/12 normal, then 8/13 hard mode in the original Cataclysm raiding content, and 7/7 normal, and 2/7 hard mode in Cataclysm's second tier of raiding content.

The inability to recruit players that consistently attended raids as well as consistently being able to perform, coupled with the loss of several core raiders just before and after the second raiding tier of Cataclysm was released ended up causing the GM to end Verdict's run.

Despite Verdict's many setbacks it is my hope that the members of the guild's original core enjoyed the time spent together as they progressed and geared up as a group. After all, even though Verdict's original raid team shared a common goal that would prove hard to obtain, one that slipped through their fingers, each member was really playing for one reason alone, to have fun.

I would personally like to thank the other five members of Verdict's raiding core for providing me with just that. I enjoyed leading you and raiding beside you. I did the best I could, because I asked each one of you to give me your best efforts as well. In retrospect, I had fun.
