“The Harrowed” Guild

The Harrowed is an old guild with a very strong core. It was founded as “DPS For Hire” on the realm of Kargath in 10/10. It started as a more casual guild that happened to also enjoy raiding. As time progressed it evolved into a casual raiding guild, with the desire to down content while still placing real life first. As the realm died it became impossible to recruit to fill our raids because most of the other guilds and players had moved off. After a long and sometimes heated discussion we decided to move the guild to the realm of Silvermoon for a fresh start. Our name was taken so “The Harrowed” became our new tag.

We want to continue the tradition of a raiding guild with a casual attitude. That attitude should extend to all times we aren’t raiding. Once you are invited into the raid, the switch to all business should be made. We are not a truly hardcore guild with hardcore hours so it should not be difficult to take those hours during the week and turn off the outside world and fulfill your role in our raid.

The leadership has experience all the way back to vanilla and has killed every end boss on heroic (as it applies) while they were still relevant until taking a serious step back for Cataclysm. We are still competitive, just not pushing like we have in the past. This kind of experience is what will lead this guild into Mists and make us a competitive raid team. The direction of the guild from here is one that is a fun environment whilst still all business during raid times.

We are not, and never will be Vodka, Paragon, or any of the top raiding guilds but we still want to be competitive and kill everything Blizzard throws at us in a timely fashion. We are not against server first but are not going to marry ourselves to the game to get them either.

First and foremost, this is a game. Years of trial and error have led to a very specific set of rules. They are in place to protect your time as much as everyone else’s. We want the game to be fun and it may be fun for one person to show up only when they want to but I assure you that is very frustrating and not fun for everyone else. Everyone, including the GM and officers, are expected to abide by them.
