“Velocity” Guild

Velocity is a family-oriented casual progression Alliance raiding guild in the Steamwheedle Cartel/Kirin Tor/Sentinels realm group.



Raid Schedule:

9:30-11:30 EST on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday



Recruitment needs:

At this time, we have no specific roles we need to fill, and are not actively recruiting, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give folks a try! Velocity is more interested in what you can bring to the team as a player than we are with what class you can offer. An ideal candidate would have a strong dps spec with a viable heal or tank off-set for flexibility, but pure DPS applicants are also welcome.



Raid Information:

Our raid begins invites at 9:15 and we run a two hour raid with a short break halfway through. Although, we expect that all raiders will be on time and attend every raid, there is no minimum attendance requirement as long as absences are posted ahead of time on Discord.

Velocity’s loot is handled through the Personal loot system.

We currently use Discord voice chat, with the expectation that raiders will be logged on and listening even if they cannot/prefer not to speak. Exceptions to this rule are certainly possible, and are handled on a case-by-case basis by the raid leader.

The use of add-ons and other raid tools is at the discretion of the player; we recommend DBM, but it is not required provided that you can do your job without it.

About Us:

In our raid, the team comes first. Before loot, before progression… even before your performance. Our goal is to clear all normal and heroic content in a timely fashion with steady progress, but we would rather have to work longer and harder to kill a boss together as a team than kill it quickly with high-output players who like to cause drama. Our raid roster spans generations, and we try to keep this a place where everyone is comfortable. We will not be pursuing mythics, because keeping the team together is more important than advancing our place on the charts. We aren’t running a charity – everyone is expected to contribute to the team’s success – but if you’re looking for a place where your value is more than just your score on the meter, come see if Velocity is the right fit for you!
