C A L A M I T Y is an semi-hardcore raiding guild on
Thrall [H] open to mature players. We are dedicated to the goal of
pursuing Cutting Edge or damn close while also maintaining our
amicable, collaborative atmosphere. Formed by merger in 9.0, we
bring the collected experience of past Cutting Edge raiders, serial
casuals, keystone crushers, and longtime collectors.
Culture: We are hunting Cutting Edge on a two-day schedule and are also fiercely protective of our guild atmosphere. This translates to a team that seeks constant improvement, but when we commit to a player we much prefer to coach than cut. Downtime review of logs, taking and providing of constructive criticism, and collaborative strategy discussions are normal and encouraged. In raid we are adaptive and talk through challenges in real time. We seek to foster a communicative, capable atmosphere that reflects the statement: We achieve our goals with the help of our teammates, not in spite of them.
Outside of raid, our members and friends of the guild can often be found hanging in the Mana Lounge or chatting it up in text channels about pets, sportsball, and food. We are competitive and enjoy encouraging one another to be the best we can be while staying focused on building a strong, inclusive community. No guild is perfect, and we do not claim to be. But we are dang proud of what we've accomplished and invite folks to join us for the fun!
Mythic Prog Raid Schedule: Tuesday / Thursday 8-11pm EST, plus a 3rd day (TBD) for 3-4 weeks of a new tier.
AOTC Team Funky Bunch Raid Schedule: Wednesday 8pm-12am EST
Sunday Funday Casual Raid Schedule: Sunday 8-11pm EST, casual raid, open to all members meeting ilvl req and friends of members
Current Needs: See above list for our priorities. Open to dps for our AOTC teams at this time. Always open to social and casual folks who are looking for an active community or who are looking to raid in the future.
