About Us

<Blur> is a guild of veteran raiders who bring high-end raiding experience (US Top 5-100) together with genuine respect for our IRL time. We offer an environment that encourages efficient, skilled, and dedicated game-play twice a week, 7 hours total, for the purpose of enjoying high-end content and racking up boss kills together.

Today, our leaders, officers, and core members are many of the same players who drove our rise in WotLK from that of an unknown guild, to top on our competitive server. In that time we forged lasting friendships that allowed us to stay in touch long after retiring at the end of Wrath.

It was these friendships that inspired our return for WoD as we sought to connect with old friends, but with no plans of rekindling our hardcore ways. Old habits die hard, however, and despite a casual approach to raid-scheduling, we could not shut off a hardcore mentality once inside a raid instance. As a result, we were joined by like-minded players, new faces encountered through our WoD adventures with similar raiding backgrounds and the same desire to get the absolute most out of this game without the 5 day/20+ hour commitments of the old days. Motivated by the caliber of players we met, and personalities we enjoyed, we opened our doors once again, having spent almost all of WoD deliberately without recruitment efforts.

Taking our first steps as a new team with a late start in M HFC, we nonetheless closed the expansion at 13/13M HFC going 12/13 ahead of pre-patch.

We carried this momentum and success into Legion, driving improvements in our approach and securing stronger kill-ranks with each end-boss. From a very humble US-600 beginning, to a fast climb among the top US 2-day guilds, we finished Legion at a respectable US-120 and secured our place as a leader in the 2-day scene.

Determined to build on our Legion accomplishments, we dedicated ourselves to crafting a culture committed to improvement. Earning our first US top 100 finish with Mythic BoD (US-96), we continued our upward trend with a US-72 finish for Mythic Eternal Palace, and a US-58 finish in Nyalotha to close out the expansion.

Since then we have indisputably defined ourselves as one of the most consistent and efficient progression guilds in the competitive raid scene. We hold an unwavering place at the top among 2-day guilds, tier after tier, often placing well ahead of top, competitive 3-day options as well. You will not find slumps or back-tracking in ranks in our raid history.

Bottom line

- We do NOT require attendance.
We have a full Mythic raiding roster each raid because our players WANT to raid, and WANT to raid with us.

- We do NOT tell our raiders to come prepared for raid.
Because this goes without saying and people who play with us would never bring less than their best to any group who welcomes them.

- We enforce low-time, high-quality.
We make the absolute most out of the time we put in. Our progression pace for hours raided is hard to beat. Our players will not bring less than 100% come raid time. We're smart about our time and respectful of yours.

- We do NOT have drama.
No, really. We don't. It's not our style, not our environment. We screen-in for skill, but screen-out for crap personalities. A**holes do not exist on our roster.

- You WILL love us. ;)
Really, you will. Long after WoW has faded from your day-to-day, you'll keep in touch with many of us, both in and out of games. We've proven this to be true already.



Recruitment

Prioritizing: 1 multi-class healer

We are currently recruiting for S3 of Dragonflight.

Please know that our turn-over is extremely low, which means our roster spots are limited and highly competitive. We encourage exceptional applicants of any class to reach out. Previous experience raiding at the US-100 level, or better, is strongly encouraged. High-end performance for your class is a must.

Recommended applicant progression: < US 100 Mythic raid experience in any SL or DF raid.

Interested applicants must provide competitive, Mythic logs for current content. We will not review your application without them.

Please note that our recruitment needs do NOT reflect an active gap in our roster. We believe in solid roster-planning and recruit with long-term goals in mind. We are never in a position to recruit below high standards to fill a spot.

Returning players: We are regularly approached by returning players with experience averaging around US 10 in their history. You are welcome to inquire about opportunities in our off-night raids but should not expect gear hand-outs or a starting spot on our Main roster.

Mythic+: We are open to high-end M+ only players, with an emphasis on tanks and healers. Reach out if you are looking for a guild with high M+ activity and access to off-night raids. This is not a main-roster position.
