“Celestial” Guild

There is a misconception out there that you have to raid 16-20 hours or more a week to be successful in progression raiding. People who raid less are either bad at the game or not dedicated enough. The truth is that there are guilds out there who are making significant progress in heroic content while raiding less than 10 hours a week.

This is the concept we want to build around for this new guild. The core group of this guild has experience raiding at a high level with limited time. We raided all of cataclysm on a 9 hour a week schedule and achieved many top 200 US kills. Our goal is to improve on this while maintaining a raiding load that doesn't infringe upon our busy/hectic life styles.

If you are one of the rare breed of players who is exceptional at the game but don't have the time or desire to raid 3 or more days a week, then we want to talk to you.

Qualities we are looking for in potential guild-mates:

Hardcore mentality: We want min/maxers. We want theorycrafters. We want dedicated, skilled players that know everything about their class and how to get the most out of it.

Ability to maintain a level head: We want people to be passionate about the game, but we do not want to foster a negative and stressful environment. You should be able to think on your feet and maintain a level keel during hectic encounters. Name-calling, yelling or personal insults will not be tolerated.

A friendly and professional disposition: This ties into the previous paragraph. Potential members must treat everyone with respect and common courtesy during raids and outside of them as well. Trolling will not be accepted. We want elite players not elitist people.

Why should you consider our guild:

The model of this guild, while exceedingly rare, is not unique. As alluded to at the beginning of this post, there are a few guilds that follow this model and are extremely successful. So why not apply to one of those guilds instead of a new, rebuilding guild? The answer is simple: these already established guilds are very attractive to dozens if not hundreds of players and have very low turnover. This means that they are rarely actively recruiting. Also, it can be daunting for new members to assimilate well into these well-established guilds.

Joining Celestial gives you an opportunity to be part of the founding members and be an integral "cog in the machine" from the onset.
