“The Professionals” Guild

We are only looking for users who have a legendary staff or legendary daggers at this time. If you do not have these, you may still apply, but unless you are an exceptional player there is nothing we can do for you.

<The Professionals> is a progression oriented 10-man raiding guild on the Wyrmrest Accord US-RP-PST realm, founded by raiders formerly of <Fail Pug Pugs>.

Players of <The Professionals> set and maintain high standards so that we raid for shorter periods of time while remaining competitive in progression content. Don’t waste our time, we won’t waste yours.

Progression raid spots are to be earned on a weekly basis. Spots will be given based on attendance, performance, attitude, and raid preparation.

Exceptional raiders are encouraged to apply regardless of recruitment status. Most guilds say this, but don't actually follow through - we do.

Applicants should be mature, intelligent, and talented players that are both self-motivated and self-sufficient. They should be able to communicate very well and listen to “on the fly” instructions and adjust accordingly. Applicants should be experienced raiders and have a very firm grasp on how to excel at their class in raids.

A thick skin is necessary – if you are easily offended, toughen up or don’t apply. Ventrilo and a microphone are mandatory, as is the ability to shut up when told to. We are a "troll" guild, so if you don't like your fellow members trolling you over harmless things, this is not the guild for you.

Raid times are 7pm-10pm.. All times are PST. Raid days include:

• Sunday
• Monday


Start times reflect first pull time; invites are typically extended 10-15 minutes beforehand. Raid times and days change depending on content cleared for the week. We expect all of our raiders to have extremely high attendance (90% or better) and come prepared with flasks, food, elixirs and potions to every single raid.

If <The Professionals> is a guild that you think would fit your playstyle, feel free to apply. Remember that this application is our first impression of you, take the time to make it a good one. Applications that are poorly worded or carelessly thrown together will be denied (use a spellcheck and proper english).


Below is our application template which we ask all aspirants to use and fill out. Copy and paste it into your application as it is and fill it out before posting.

Application:

1. Basics
Character Name, Class and Spec(s) you're applying as.

2. Character History
Who are you and where are you from (this is about your in-game character)? What other guilds and servers have you been in respectively on? Why are you leaving your current guild?

3. Gear
Put your Armory link here. Make sure you are logged out in the PvE gear/spec you're apply as. Additionally give us a brief run down of your off spec and gear.

4. Availability
We raid Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed 7pm-10pm (all times PST), can you 100% commit to these times? Do you have any extended absences planned? Do you work or go to school and is it ever going to interfere with raiding? If accepted to <The Professionals>, we ask that you join/transfer within 24 hours or before the next raid night, whichever comes first. Is this going to be a problem?

5. Availability Cont.
Is your financial situation such that you're able[ to pay for your transfer/faction change pending your acceptance? (see question 4) Are you able to reliably support the monthly subscription associated with WoW?

6. Experience
When did you start playing WoW and in particular, when did you start raiding? What is the extent of your raiding experience in Vanilla WoW, TBC, WotLK and Cataclysm (include a timeline with noteworthy bosskills/titles/achievements)? Have you played any other MMOs?

7. References
List 2-3 references. If you have any friendships/in-game experience with current <The Professionals> members, please elaborate.

8. Referral
Did anyone refer you to our website? If so, please tell us who.

9. Character
What's your /played? Why did you choose your talent spec? Which glyphs are you using and why? What are your professions and why?

10. Combat Logs
Post World of Logs (WoL) reports with your performance (required for all roles).

11. Why <The Professionals>
Where did you find out about <The Professionals> (if transfer)? Why do you want to join US and why should we recruit YOU? Are you applying to any other guilds?

12. Personal
Age, Sex, Location? Do you understand, and speak, the English language? What kind of computer (we don't need to know every component, just basic info) and internet connection do you have? Do you lag in situations with lots of AOE and action going on? Do you use an authenticator?

143. Getting to know you
Please answer the following questions. Your responses should be well thought out, creative, and insightful.

1) What is the most undervalued aspect of your class? How do you utilize it to excel in raids?

2) If you were stranded on a deserted island and could have three spells from WoW (limited to your class). What would they be and why?

Applications will be promptly reviewed and replied to if we have any questions or requests, so check back often. This process may take longer depending on the volume of applications at the time or other outside factors. Be patient, your post will not be ignored, overlooked or forgotten.

Trolling of apps will be kept to as much of a minimum as possible, but like mentioned above, thick skin comes in handy.

If you don't want your application to be publicly viewable, send an email containing all necessary information (and a way to contact you) to [email protected]. Your private application will then be posted in our subforum which is only accessible by guild members and guild leadership.
