“Kamuflasjefylla” Guild

History

Kamuflasjefylla formed on Dentarg-EU back in January '07, shortly before the relase of TBC. Initially a social guild comprised of people who had known each other and played together through Vanilla, the guild began to pick up steam through early TBC due mostly to its enjoyable atmosphere and as more and more skilled players made their way into our ranks we gradually rose to the position of top Alliance PvE guild on the server during SSC/TK.

Things got a bit rocky during Sunwell but we carried on and managed to hold onto the top Alliance spot until clearing Ulduar, after which the guild finally stopped being able to raid due to multiple people having to leave for real life reasons and Dentarg Alliance's recruitment pool being too small to keep replacing them. Some members left to join other guilds or move to other servers, and others took an extended break from the game.

After some of our members decided to revive the guild on Ravencrest-EU, a server with a much larger population, people gradually starting making their way back to the guild along with new recruits until the guild was able to start raiding again, attempting to maintain a similar pleasant, light-hearted atmosphere to that of the past while still taking the game seriously enough to aim for decent progress with high standards of play.

After lots of people grew tired of the game during MoP and took a rest, we're back to building ourselves up again in WoD as a somewhat more casual guild with a mix of players from all previous generations of Kamuf, and are currently up to having around 16 members in each raid and easily clearing heroic Highmaul each week. Since we lack the numbers to go any further, we're now looking to recruit some more friendly people to fill up our ranks so that we can start reliably putting together raid groups to progress through mythic content.

Raids

We currently attempt to raid on Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week, from 20:00 server time until 23:00.

Gear is distributed through a simple main spec > off spec /roll system, but it's common for the winner of a roll to decide to pass an item to someone else for whom the item might be a bigger upgrade. We use Teamspeak to communicate during raids, and having a microphone is a bonus but not a requirement.

We're currently 7/7 normal, 7/7 heroic and 1/7 mythic in Highmaul.

Joining

If you're able to meet our usual raid times, have a good understanding of how to play your class, a decent computer with a stable internet connection and won't get upset by any amount of silly joking and bantering on Teamspeak then feel free to whisper one of our members in-game to be directed to an officer who can discuss inviting you to the guild.

Despite the emphasis on having fun during raids we do expect you to be able to play well, and to come to raids fully prepared with food, flasks and potions and with all gear gemmed / enchanted properly and a sound knowledge of how to get the most out of your class, but we're also happy to help go through logs with you and try to find ways for you to improve if you're stuck and are happy to accept criticism and advice. We're not looking for anyone who will cause a fuss over loot or will whine and leave the raid after some wipes on a boss, or expect to be carried and geared up while putting in none of their own effort to acquire gear outside of raids.
