About us
Roadkill is a semi-hardcore 20-man Mythic guild with a relaxed raiding schedule.
The guild was created in preparation for Warlords of Draenor by players who have a long history of playing together, and in World of Warcraft as a whole.
The majority of our player base are adults with their own activities outside of WoW, but who still wants to make time for active raiding. Our schedule allows people to do their own research about the game and raiding content, and we can see more productive raiding within the specified hours.
Raiding
We’re raiding 20:30 – 23:30 on Wednesday, Sunday and Monday with a small break around 90 minutes in.
We expect players to log in around 15 minutes before raid. Read more about our guild rules and expected behavior within the raid
The biggest focus of the guild is still raiding. Raiding 3x3 hours a week is beneficial for multiple reasons, as it allows people to prioritize social activities better around their time raiding; we're also expecting a higher percentage of activity than you might in a guild with more raiding hours. While we lose raiding time and potential progress compared to other guilds we’re aiming for more sophisticated raid etiquette from the average raider once we’re progressing. We’re all for the most part adults and share one interest which is raiding. This is a goal we feel is shared by the majority of our players and an attitude we want to keep within the guild when it comes to new recruits.
For loot distribution we are using Loot Council, in a manner which is supposed to benefit the raid primarily rather than rewarding people. Everything from attendance, raid role and individual skill will have an impact in your quest for loot gathering, but we’re aiming to have everyone geared in a pace that is defined by raid progression.
Social Members
As an active raiding guild there are always social elements that benefits players who don't actively play. Friends and family of raiders are allowed in the guild with the Social status. There are social guild events every now and then like challenge modes or alt runs. We encourage social players that want to be part of the guild, with the condition of not being an idiot.
Note: I just wrote this cause I think we should write something about socials. Please discuss any
Recruiting
We’re always looking for new players, please check our recruitment tab on the forums; we try to keep it updated to keep the roster filled at all times, but we’re always looking for new talent and people who share our raiding attitude. Also feel free to contact any officer in the guild in game or on the forum.
Please do read through our guild rules before applying.
