“Predation” Guild

Why Predation?

Predation is made up of members who have previously raided together over the past 6-8 years. The leadership and many of the founding members have server 1st and US top 10 raiding history. Although Predation itself is a fairly new guild, we are far from new players. Through our experience we have long-term goals to transition into a competing guild on our server.

The people in the guild are extremely dedicated to raiding, but are also just great people. There is a really unique sense of teamwork and camaraderie in the guild that is a rare find. There is absolutely no drama between players and everyone is very welcoming to new members.

We work as a team, as such, members are treated as team-mates. We hold the belief that we should be able to lean on each-other. There are many discussions between members on how to improve between fights, manage gimmicks of an encounter, etc. If your dps isn't up to par on a fight, we won't chastise you; we'll work with you on improving. Our core has a history of turning average players into excellent players who have since been in top 25 US guilds.

We are looking for some people who will become a core part of the guild so that we can begin progress in Mythic content.

We do scheduled (non-mandatory) alt runs on Sundays at the same raid times. Although it is not mandatory, we promote the idea of having available raid ready alts as class balance in WoW is often a very volatile situation.

Loot

We use a cycling loot-council system, where we have officers and randomly selected members contribute to loot discussions each week. Our loot council is small but we implement a rotating member to ensure it is never biased.

We track attendance, previously looted items, and how much of an upgrade an item is for someones main spec. We utilize this information in a loot council system. Additionally, we carefully analyze who will make the biggest use of an item, such as a 4pc tier or a particular trinket opening certain gameplay avenues (Lei-Shen trinkets for example).

What we are looking for?

All classes are considered, but we currently have a particularly high demand for:

Ranged DPS : Boomkin, Shadow Priest, Elemental Shaman, Warlock, Hunter, Mage
Melee DPS: WW Monk
Healers : A Resto Druid or Mistweaver Monk

As always, we consider any and all exceptional players of any type. We would really like to see players who will have high attendance on raid nights, who can learn fights quickly and execute mechanics correctly. Ideally applicants will have logs showing competitive DPS.

Applicants and all members are expected to actively work towards bettering characters and contributing to raids outside of raid time. Some non-raid playtime is necessary.

It is important to be open to critique. No one is going to pick you apart 24/7, but when we go over logs or situations, things will come up that aren't being executed and no one is going to hold back any information that may help the situation.
