“Insurrection” Guild

Insurrection was founded in January 2010 after a guild split. A group of friends broke away and set up what was then a 25-man raiding guild with a large group of social members. Since then WoW has changed a lot. 25-man raiding became two 10 man groups then one flexy raiding group and so on. Even though our membership count has varied over the years, we have never lost the good friendships within the guild. People take sabbaticals from WoW because they are bored with the game (read garrisons), have one too many kids or get a new job or (girl/boy)friend, but every expansion we have players return to the game, and we still have some original members playing.

We are not a hard core raiding guild. In the past we have raided hard, but never hardcore. We do not bounce people out of a group because we wipe, but we expect everyone to do their best when they join a guild group be it for mythic raiding, heroics, world quest, achievement runs, or pet hunting and to respect each other. We also expect people to ask for help if they find that they get caught by the tornados, die in the mace or get thrown off the ledge every single time we attempt the same fight. No one enjoys wiping for the sake of wiping, so just ask the group what you can do to avoid it as there might be a simple trick to it. At the end of the day these things happen and they are part of learning fights. We wipe off the blood, eat some pickled squid and move on. As a guild we understand mistakes can be made and cause wipes but we strive to encourage our members to learn from their mistakes rather than giving them a hard time and causing them to leave. We are a relaxed guild with members who are here to enjoy content at a reasonable rate and have achieved many successful raids through determination.

Currently we have a group of people enjoying Legion ready for mythic instances and wherever the game takes us next.

Why would you join Insurrection?

Insurrection is a social guild, with an inclination to raid. People leaving the guild do it despite of the people, not because of them and often ask to leave an alt so they can come back. We have real lives, jobs, families and enjoy playing WoW. You might have been in a guild with friends back when subscriptions were high and found that you are now the only one left and LFG is daunting putting you off some content. You might have had enough of random groups with the selfish kid leaving the group when ‘their’ item does not drop off the first boss. You might work shift or have a demanding other half with a quota on playing. Insurrection do not demand minimum participation. Log in, kick about, join a guild run, put your feet up with a beer moan about your boss or sit absentmindedly watching a film.

Insurrection welcome you regardless of circumstance as we are looking for the person behind the toon. If you normally play with a friend, they are also welcome. It is your choice if you wish to server transfer, start a brand new toon on Hellscream/Aggramar or do both.
