About Us
Since June 2009, Eminence has been dedicated to pushing competitive raiding on a light schedule. Specifically aimed at players who, for whatever reason, prefer to raid later in the evenings, we have consistently improved our status on our realm with each raid tier and finished Cataclysm ranked as the #1 25man raiding guild on Dunemaul.
We pride ourselves on our stable, fun and welcoming atmosphere; we are drama free and personable. Most of our members are university students or working professionals giving our members an average age of ~25. Our raids are fairly laid back and casual while pushing heroic content, we like to have a good joke but are able to give high levels of focus and commitment when the content demands it.
As a late night guild we are concious of people having busy lives and therefore limited playtime. Our schedule reflects that and we raid only 3 times per week for 3 hours;
Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays from 22.00 to 01.00 server time (9pm to 12am GMT).
We have a mature loot system, originally based on EP/GP but now significantly different, which is designed to be as fair as possible; rewarding a player's dedication, performance and stability. Balanced to give both veterans and new members an equally fair chance to be rewarded for their efforts. We also do not believe in rank priority, the only constraints being member > trial, main-spec > off-spec. We don't play favourites, period.
Our leadership team is very active and approachable. We are open to suggestion and value all our members taking an active role in driving the guild forwards.
What Are We Looking For In You?
First and foremost we are looking for players who share our passion. Gear can be farmed, strategies can be learned and roles can be taught but unless you possess the right aptitude you are not going to get very far.
Being able to keep a level head in the face of uncertainty is a must. Raiding is stressful. Progression raiding can be very stressful. While we endeavour to keep our raids fun and enjoyable there will be times when mistakes are repeatedly made. There will be nights where we will spend the entire raid wiping on the same boss or even the same mechanic. It's all part and parcel of pushing the limits of our team.
If you are the kind of person who is ready to go postal after a couple of wipes, whines at individual failure or who starts skipping progression raids then don't bother applying. We want players who share our passion to clear the content. All else is secondary.
The next thing we look for is skill. You need to be able to demonstrate an expert understanding of your class and how to squeeze every last drop out of your performance. Basic raiding competencies are a given and personal accountability is a must. We expect you to be aware of everything that is happening around you and to be able to react to unexpected situations without instruction.
The last thing we demand is dedication. We will invest a lot in you so we expect the same in return. The guild bank pays for raid night repairs, flasks, potions and enchants. In return we require high attendance and consistent performance. Our raid schedule is light so we focus on maximising the time we have, every person in the raid is key to achieving this. We also expect you to have appropriate gaming equipment.
How To Apply
We are always looking for excellent players to strengthen our roster, so if you like what you see and feel you can be a valuable asset to our raiding team then we welcome your interest. More information and our private application system can be found on our website - http://eminence-eu.com
