Just Outta Jail is looking, first and foremost, for players who understand the meaning of “fun” and desire to have that crazy three-letter word while also progressing through ICC.

The most important thing you need to know about Just Outta Jail is that we embody what our guild name signifies. Have you ever felt like WoW was a job or a prison? At JoJ, you will be welcomed to enjoy WoW without feeling imprisoned by it. Just Outta Jail's Gms and officers focus on balance, on its people, and we realize that RL comes first. We look forward to filling our ranks not only with skilled players, but truly mature, kind people who just want to have a little fun for once. In raids, we absolutely want to progress and be at the forefront of progression content as much as possible while still maintaining a sense of community, entertainment and fun. Joke around on Vent, have fun, but make sure we keep moving along through trash as we do so... however, please do listen to your raid leader during bosses – that is one of the areas where your attention will be needed.

Raid date/times: Raids will be occurring 2 nights a week. Currently, we are aiming for T/Th starting at 5:15pm server time and ending at the latest by 9:00pm sever time. We are looking for a SOLID 10 man ICC group to then bring into a solid 25 man ICC group.

(Raid days/times will be voted on as a guild, if these days are not working for the majority. We are more interested in having the right mix of interesting, creative, fun players than we are in people joining just because we have the above dates available. Please join because you like the sound of who we are as a guild – not because we gotz prettiez lootz. ;))

What we want from you:

*Total dedication to the guild and raiding. If you are not interested in raiding, you may still join but don't expect the same privileges as raiders (instant access to raids, loot, etc).
*Please notice that to maintain our casual raiding atmosphere, we do not raid too much. Therefore, during the time that we do raid, we ask that you come prepared, attentive, and ready to focus on the task at hand. Please also make sure you log in 5-15 minutes early for invites and be in the instance at raid start time.
*Occasionally, we may add raid days to further progression. If we do this, the extra day will be communicated far in advance. We would greatly appreciate your attendance during these extra days, however we understand if RL keeps you from being able to do so. Please do let us know in advance if that is the case so we may make sure your spot is filled come raid time.
*Please don't curse like a sailor or whine like a moose. :-p Neither will be tolerated. Some cursing is acceptable but it really doesn't need to be excessive. As for whining? Come on now, it's just seriously unattractive. :-p If your main focus is loot or you can't handle occasionally sitting out of raids to let someone else in, then just start walking now – we are not the right guild for you. Loot is shiny and pretty, but coming together as a team and conquering a new boss is more important to us. As for occasionally needing to sit out, that's simply because sometimes in order to obtain the right composition, we will need a different class to fill in. We expect as a raider that you will be willing to play for the guild and its progress above all else.
*Please have complete knowledge of your class – the gear that is right for you as well as how to enchant/gem it correctly for your spec. If you need help though, there are officers always willing to give you pointers and tips as well as learn from you. We simply expect people to put thought into their character so they can be the best they can be. Please always bring your A game to raids and show us what you're made of.
*Always have a friendly attitude toward your guildmates. The flipside of this is that you must be able to take a certain level of abuse and jokes from your peers. If you can't take a few jokes at your expense, this might not be the place for you.
*Be prepared to take some criticism from your leaders/officers and be able to respect that criticism. We are here to help you be the best you can be, and in doing so, could possibly need to give you pointers and occasionally a good smack upside the head.

*You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. You must have a microphone/earphones or headset, as well as Ventrilo. Don't be afraid to use it and speak up when required. We like to hear your sexy voice. O.O
*Be over 18 years of age. There will be some exceptions to this, but don't consider it if you are under 17.
*A-holism is NOT tolerated. Put the ego away. Stop waving the epeen. We don't care. Go wave it somewhere else. :-p While we encourage competitiveness in order to help each other get better, putting down another player simply to be mean is not tolerated. A-holism is a /gkick offense. Get help.

What you get from us:

*A guild focused on progressing in endgame content all in the name of “fun.” (There's that crazy three-letter word again....)
Our main goal is to progress while not destroying the balance between real life and WoW.
*We have a very strong community within the guild. A friendly, supportive, but joking atmosphere which is great fun to be a part of once you get used to it. We are people ready to have fun and we look forward to you having fun with us. We also have a great community here on our website and would like all new recruits to take an active role on the boards.
*Essentially, if you take your role seriously while managing to enjoy yourself, you will become an integral part of the guild.

The guild structure is still being formed, but will be broken down like this:

*3 Guild Masters, e.g. Wardens (currently, our two GMs are Kyrina and Ravenine)
*Several officers (COs), e.g. tanking officer, dps officer and healing officer for raiding content. There are also a few other COs to tend to general guild duties.

We decide all loot with a roll and loot council based system. There is no DKP and we have no attendance system since 100% attendance is expected (unless RL comes up, in which case, warn us). You will get great gear just by running ICC by default, it should not be your primary focus. We take the point of view that loot is a tool – not a reward – and therefore it is given out according to how it best benefits the guild. This means factors such as who gets the biggest upgrade, what class an item is the best for, player performance, how many top-end hardmode items people have looted, and what we need to kill the next boss. There is also a semi-seniority system where if you are brand new to the guild, you may need to pass on loot or just take what others don't need during the first 1-2 week period. This system is designed to be as fair as possible, leaving little to luck or chance, while also not allowing players to use us to get geared up and leave.

Recruitment for all classes is now open. We are looking to expand our roster with exceptional, mature players more than anything else. If you feel this guild's vision and mission is something you want to be a part of, you should apply. Do not be put off from applying because you feel we have a certain amount of a specific class. Your shining personality could easily win us over. ;) Spots are performance based and every spot is there for the taking. Performance is based on three factors: 1) your performance in raids, 2) your availability/attendance and 3) your WINNING (not whining ;) ) attitude. A lot of our best recruits don't come from well-known guilds; they come from lesser-known guilds and they simply desire more from the game.

Please include the following information in all applications:

1. Your character name.
2. Where you live.
3. Your age.
4. A link to your armory profile. <-- Do not forget this at all costs, apps without this will be instantly thrown away.
5. Links to any WWS/World of Logs/WowMeterOnline etc. that you have for yourself.
6. A Screenshot of your user interface, ideally in a raid environment.
7. An explanation of how you approach your character and what you feel is important to focus on.
8. A history of your experience and previous guilds.
9. Any references you wish to cite.
10. Connection/Computer info, a stable computer, connection, and fps are absolutely essential so do not apply without all of these things producing a steady performance.
11. Fun question: If you and I were going out and we had a fight, how would you patch things up? Go ahead. Try to woo me. ;)
12. About you: What is the one thing in this world that gives you peace and why?
13. Why do you play this game?
14. What would you do if you won 1 miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllion dollars?

Applications should be e-mailed to [email protected]. All applications will be kept private, in case you wish to apply without risking your current guild position.

Lastly, please do not log into the game and start spamming the GMs/officers about your application. This will just result in us wanting to throw it away. It is okay to ask once and we will let you know the status to the best of our knowledge at that time, but please do not harass us about it. We will always try to get back to you regarding your application, but sometimes RL even gets to us and we'll try to get to it ASAP.

Thanks so much for considering Just Outta Jail. We hope you are our kind of person and will contact us soon.
