“Devourment” Guild

*Update (5/15)*: Devourment had a fallout with a few core members, RL issues came up and forced a few players to resign from raiding. We are open to recruitment of all exceptional classes! These are core positions and an instant raid spot. We are also searching for casual players as well as players interested in PvP to help level the guild and build our roster!

About Devourment:

Devourment is a newly formed raiding guild, currently Level 8. The guild is compromised of skilled raiders with years of experience and the motivation to succeed. Regardless of current content being nerfed, we made a strong push into the Top 100 on Illidan clearing 6/8H our first week of raiding with a full core group. We expect to have 8/8H on farm within the next two to three weeks and begin preparing for the release of Mists of Pandaria. Our plans for Mists of Pandaria include competing with the server's best as well as the world's best during progression and establishing a strong ranking and reputation. We are currently discussing plans on building a second 10m group and if the second group performs well we may consider combining the two groups and recruiting more players to form a 25m core group. We also plan on raiding four nights a week during progression of new content.

Devourment was formed in an attempt to build a group of highly skilled raiders who are not a bunch of elitist assholes. The founders of the guild were simply sick and tired of raiding with guilds full of conceded players. So why is this important to us? We are proud to be a successful guild with great raiders who are also extremely laid back people who get along very well together. We love to have fun in this guild and we really enjoy raiding together. When we're not raiding, we are almost always doing something... on off-nights we do alt runs of Dragon Soul, we build groups for achievements and mount runs, form rated/random battleground groups, and build arena teams etc. It should also be noted that we run a 10m Heroic Firelands clear every Thursday night collecting legendary items for our mage and warlock.

Applicants:

We expect our applicants to be skilled and experienced, committed, and resilient. There are many aspects that differentiate an average raider from an exceptional raider. Everyone makes mistakes, but good raiders learn from their mistakes and never repeat them. We expect our members to know their classes inside and out... this means understanding your rotation, your gear and how you reforge/enchant/gem it etc. You should also know how your class can benefit the raid in specific encounters and capitalize on this. Criticism is something you should be willing to accept, and you should be vocal about your mishaps. We appreciate our players mentioning the fact that they know they made a mistake, rather than saying nothing and leading us to assume you are unaware of your own mistakes, and not planning on improving. As stated we are NOT searching for people with attitude problems. Also, we definitely love to have fun and joke around but you need to know when to cut the shit and focus on performing the task at hand. We also encourage applicants to spend time with our group on off-nights... this is not required but we definitely want everyone to be friends in this guild, more than just people who meet up and raid three or four nights a week.
