About The Kings Own
We have been around since Vanilla WoW, as mostly a leveling guild. During Cataclysm we evolved into a casual raiding guild, taking down Deathwing on Normal.
Backed down to leveling again during MoP, then ramped back up to casual raiding during WoD.
During Legion we expect to keep our casual raiding going, and are keeping options open for building a semi-hardcore raid team, if the guild sees a need for it.
Recruitment
We are recruiting for our core team, needing ranged dps and healing the most.
Please be 825+ ilvl, no current content experience is necessary at this time.
This team is aimed at getting a running start into Legion, and will be committed to members that are committed to the team, and getting leveled/geared asap in Legion
Progression
We are currently 7/7N in Emerald Nightmare.
Raid Times:
We raid Saturday 6-10p.
We have no plans to run backup/alts in either raiding time until we have completed Mythic
Loot Rules:
We have decided to go with the Blizzard default of Personal loot, that way we know at least one player can use anything that drops when we are in progression runs.
Expectations:
Know your class: We are not looking to babysit players on how to play their class on each boss. Know how to spec it, gem it, theorycraft it, what talents you should use for what boss. If you can't do this, we don't want you.
Commitment: We prefer all Raiders to maintain at least 90% attendance. If you cannot commit to these requirements then you're better off being a Casual.
Be proactive: You should research fights on off nights, watch videos, etc. We only raid three nights a week. We don't want to spend the first half of the raid teaching people mechanics and basic knowledge.
Learn to accept constructive criticism: If your feelings get hurt every time we call you out on something, look for another guild. You must be able to take constructive criticism and look for ways to improve.
Adaptability: We are looking for players that have a very short learning curve. You must be able to adapt to certain situations on the fly and learn encounters relatively fast, considering we only raid 1-2 nights a week.
Awareness: Be aware of your surroundings. You must be able to multitask and never tunnel.
Be a team player: You must put the success of the guild before your own. This means not complaining when you're sat for a particular encounter or do not win loot.
Communication: Have Discord and a working mic and know when to use it. If you need to call something out, call it out.
Reliability/Punctuality: Please be able to attend all potential raid nights, and be on time. We understand that real life happens, so if it does, just give an officer a heads up.
How to join:
Please whisper Shargus, Areyanna, Polrissa, Feyyung, Randysavagé, or Bearthis
