Bottom Line is a semicore raiding guild, attempting to
tackle the hardest content the game has to offer, but without the
time investment of cutting edge guilds. Our goal is to develop a
team that works well together and stays together over many tiers of
content.
Semicore? what does that mean?
Essentially, the idea behind “semicore” is that we attempt to optimize like a hardcore guild, but accept that play and time investment will not be cutting edge. We limit ourselves to a 9-hour raid week, and are generally more forgiving with mechanical slipups. However, gear is expected to be nearly perfectly optimized, and a habit of being behind the learning curve of the rest of the group on learning fights will be problematic.
So how well does this work? We're going to be realm first, right?
It's a bit early to tell how well this team can do, as 5.4 was its first experience at tackling cutting-edge content. Our normal clear, while still ahead of many guilds, was not particularly speedy, and as we progress through heroics we are doing reasonably well, but not tremendously. Core raiders in Bottom Line should probably expect to see 50%+ of current-tier heroic(in WoD mythic) content. This obviously has a number of variables though (raid length for one) and may very well depend on the success of our recruitment.
Team Progression (Since Conception)
Our team progress has been more than stellar since conception. Even after a late start compared to other guilds we have constantly thrived to get to end game content.

Current Recruitment Needs
Monk: Open (DPS)
Priest: Open (DPS, Healing)
Rogue: Open
Currently looking for raiders interested in joining out team for Mythic. Currently were looking for DPS (ranged and Melee) as we have healers and tanks already dedicated for the jump to this new raid setting, however we are in need of a skilled healing priest. We will rotate out raiders in SoO, you wont be sitting the beach unless you want to.
We ask that applicants be in at least ilvl 550 gear, so that we can minimize the time necessary to bring our new recruits up to our current progression. However, we always take exceptional recruits.
Raid Information
Our raid times are Tues/Wed/Thurs, 8-11 PM EST. Because of the close-knit nature of our group, we ask that potential recruits be able to make these times with extreme consistency. We are attempting to raid without standby members, so absences will seriously impact group performance. We understand that people have real lives in addition to their raid lives, but we'd like to try and keep a single group together rather than rotating people in and out like interchangeable drones.
We expect our raid members to come prepared, both with the necessary consumables to raid and the research on the fights. We prefer to avoid the high-tension chewing-out of hardcore guilds, but our current team has proven excellent at picking up mechanics quickly, and we'd like to continue that trend.
