We are a progress oriented guild!
What we want from you:
- World of Warcraft is a team game and communication during a
raid encounter is often very important. You will be required to use
ventrilo during raids and should be able to write/speak/understand
English to a reasonable level.
- General whining is not tolerated at all. If your main focus is
loot or you can not handle sitting out of raids sometimes, then
this is not the right guild for you. Sometimes certain compositions
will be better and you simply will not get a spot. We expect you to
play for the guild and its progress above all else.
- Complete knowledge of your class, how to gear and spec it. This
means being able to adapt to new situations and goes beyond just
reading theorycrafting and knowing what the right gems are. You
will be asked to use World of Logs and spreadsheets aswell,to
maximize your performance and squeeze every last bit of DPS/HPS/TPS
out of your arsenal.
- Have a competitive nature both on a guild vs. guild level and
an internal level. You will have to earn your raid spot and show
that you are the best person for the job. You must be confident in
what you are doing and want to show that you can do it better than
anyone else.We are not having a big roster and we are not using
people for bench-warmers however there are always people that would
like to have your spot.
- Generally have a friendly attitude towards your guild mates.
The flipside of this is that you must be able to take a certain
level of jokes.
- You must be able to take sometimes extremely harsh criticism
and improve from it. You will make mistakes, everyone does. It's
important that you will learn from them.Aswell as that though,we
expect you to learn from other's mistakes. You don't have to
do the mistake yourself to learn!
- You can follow a raiding schedule of 4 raids per week, Sunday
to Thursday(Tuesday day off/10 man), 19:00 - 23:00 with some short
extensions.Be punctual in showing up for raids!
- Last but not least we are a 18+ guild. We might do some
exceptions though if you are really mature.
When being a member of Addicts you must possess a positive attitude towards raiding, especially when it comes to progress raiding. You should be prepared to do everything it takes to maximise your characters effectiveness on the encounter(s). During progress raids you need to be fully awake and focused - trying to understand and offer feedback in regards to the encounter via ventrilo, in-game, or on the forums. You must be mature and able to handle any criticism directed your way.
What can Addicts offer you:
- A steady guild with a large community.
- A maturely run and led guild, with a large officer base that is
open and skilled.
- A quality and active player base to which you would become a
member.
- A fair loot distribution system ,website with forums and
Ventrilo to socialize.
- Players with high expectations from their gaming and share the
same goals with you.
- A good progress and a steady raid team to flatten the raids
immediately after their release.
- An experienced and skilled raidleader.
We are looking to expand our roster with just great, hardcore players more than anything else. Do not be put off from applying because you feel we have a certain amount of a specific class. Spots are performance based and if you can show that you are better, then every spot is there for the taking. A lot of our best recruits don't come from well known guilds, but the absolute best players in less well known guilds who want more from the game.
A few tips before you think about applying
- Maxing your character with the best professions, consumables, craftables is an absolute must.
- Do not rush your application, filling open questions with 1 word answers is not the way to go.
- You will most likely be questioned in your application thread, this is because we want to know and understand more about you and your character.
- Good attitude, attendance, performance is what distinguishes you between trialist and raider.
- If your internet connection is unreliable, you should stop reading. If your computer shuts down every 2 hours, we dont want you.
- This is most likely your first and only impression to our guild, be sure to make it worth our time.
We want a rather tight core with people that are rarely in need of a day away from raiding. The closer to 100% attendance, the better, during progression and farm. That way less people will have to be geared up, and less people need to be educated during progression.
We highly value people with the right attitude along with high attendance and excellent performance. Quality raiders will always feel rewarded in our community. Just as important is your team spirit; you play for the guild. Addicts has a competitive environment however, your expected to play your best at all times.
Our aims for Firelands are pretty high and we want you to bolster our squad for T11 and beyond. We are ambitious in our passion for this game, we aim to kill bosses and complete all raiding achievements when they are true and have meaning; that's before movies and strategy tips turns it into a matter of execution only, hopefully before any nerfs, definitely before they get overgeared to oblivion.Looking forward to your application.
The goals are clear,the
road is paved and the clock
ticks; there is no place for hesitation.
There are many who talk-We Accomplish!
