“Ludens” Guild

Who are we?

Ludens is a community of friends who play and raid together.

In Legion, our success surpassed our initial expectations. As a result, we’re expanding our roster with an aim to improve on that further going into BfA.

The social aspect of the guild is very important to us. Many of our members are in contact with each other every day both in and outside the game. Our guild facebook chat is very active, with members frequently chatting with each other; whether it be talking about WoW, sharing their lives, or just making jokes and having fun.

Above all, Ludens is a community. Every individual within the guild is as important as any other, and we hope to foster an environment in which fun and friends come first. Our top priority is to create the best possible experience for every one of our members.

Who are you?

Due to the nature of our guild and the interaction between members we place more value on personality than anything else. This means that a toxic player, no matter how impressively skilled, will not last long with us.

In our process of expanding the team we are primarily looking for DPS players, and potentially another healer to balance out the roster.

For the raid team we want someone who is reliable, shows up prepared when they say they will and can use our 3-click signup system to let us know if they will be attending or not.
We also want you to have knowledge of your class and how to play it. We understand that nobody is perfect; but it is important to understand the basics, and be willing to take advice and improve.
We want someone who can take directions. You don’t need to be a tactical genius or strategic theorycrafter, we just expect everyone to be able to do as they are told in real time to deal with mechanics.

Raids

We currently raid two evenings per week, these being Thursday and Tuesday, from 19:30-22:30 server time.

Invites start going out 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, prioritizing the members who have signed up on our signup sheet. Once those who have signed up for the rain have been invited, those who have not signed up may be invited should the balance of the group allow it.

We never stop any member from signing up for a raid, unless their item level is significantly lower than that of the raid on a progression night. If you are of raider rank or higher and you have signed up to the raid, you will never start the evening on the bench while we are doing normal or heroic modes; however, at member rank you may be asked to sit out if you frequently do not sign up for raids, and the group is too imbalanced.
