“Sypher” Guild

About us:

We are a bunch of people that have been playing together for several years most of us with several common interests being progressing through hardmodes, and having fun while doing it. We share a common "love" sort of speak for raping every hardmode , no matter how many wipes it takes and not having to force eachother to sign for raids and focus because of this. Outside of raids we are always up for joking around, alt raids, weekend 10 mans etc.

We have taken stuff down in the past from SSC, TK, Ilidan, archimonde until glory of the raider, and so on.

Short said, a bunch of nice people who get fun out of progressing :)

Applicant expectations:

Guild Sypher is recruiting some classes for our progress troughout all endgame content. If you consider yourself a dedicated player who can take some constructive criticism and have the willpower to compete for atleast downing all hardmodes ingame, now and in the future, take a look further down. If not stop reading here, because Sypher is not what you are looking for.

If you aim towards farming the same easy instance over and over again, we arent the correct guild for you.

We enjoy wiping on hard encounters and get even more motivated to get them down. Most of our raids will exist out of doing hardmodes.


If you'd like to join our team, leave an application by applying on our website. Keep in mind that we only select the most dedicated and promising players; short and effortless applications will be ignored. Well written applications from other classes than the ones we're recruiting will be read and considered as well.

Things about Sypher:

- Our goal is to down every hardmode ingame as fast as possible with a select core group. This means we will expect you to have an attendance of atleast 85%. Ofcourse we understand you might miss some raids due to real life issues, but if you work two nights a week you are not the one we're looking for.

- We use a signup system for raid spots. If you can't be arsed to sign for raids in advance, don't bother applying. We heavily rely on players signing atleast a day in advance so we can prepare our raids well depending on setup.
This is done by confirming people on the signuppage so that people know wether ornot they will receive an invite the day before.

- Loot distribution:

Lootcouncil

We're using lootcouncil to distribute loot among our guild members. This is mainly due to the fact that we encourage our players to raid for progress and not for loot. Items are indeed, a very important tool for progress but, it's not the main goal, we in Sypher strive for.

The lootcouncil is a chosen group of players who're using a common addon called Lootcouncil Lite. When an item is being linked, the people who need the loot will link their current item in place. Once that is done everyone in the lootcouncil has one vote each. The player who receives the most votes will receive the item.

Ideally we strive that every member 'sees the big picture' and uses common sense when it comes to loot distribution. Meaning, we want members to see, on their own, and understand who actually needs the loot, more, and who it benefits more, and of course, what you think is fair. This doesn´t only provide a better relationship between our members, but it also makes sure that the right player receives the loot.

The lootcouncil exists out of 4 officers who always vote. To have an uneven number of votes and some member influence aswell, we will add another additional 3 members to the lootcouncil.


Picking of the lootcouncil is done by the officers, and will rotate between highly respected members who have been in the guild for a long period of time. The players in the lootcouncil will of course not be able to vote for themselves if an item drops that they need.

Priorities

Priorities on loot is simple and commonly used elsewhere.

Member need > Trial need > Member greed > Trial greed.

Recipes dropped in a dungeon will be given to the guild “crafter”, this to maintain recipes in the guild as much as possible.


Things we require from our members:

- 110% Effort, always.

- Be atleast 18 years old. We value maturity, being social with other people in the guild who share a same goal. We do not need people that cant raid 5 minutes longer for an attempt more if a boss is close to going down.

- A PC and network connection that can handle 25-man raids. We don't want you DC'ing every other minute.

- You should be able to take constructive critisism and do something with it. Currently we have no drama and we like to keep it that way. Sometimes there is some harsh words going around, so if you are a dramaqueen or can't handle some banter, you will feel offended here.

- Bringing your own flasks, elixirs, potions, repair money, mats and everything else that is needed for a raid.

- Decent enough gear. At the moment we are working on hard modes and we have no time to gear people up.

- Bumping up your stats with the best gems / enchants available.

- Understand your class to the fullest.

- Be active and reliable.

Friday: 10-man groups. No specified time.
Saturday: 10-man groups. No specified time.

IMPORTANT: These raidtimes will be extended during a content patchweek. Our raids will last longer by quite some time to ensure faster progress. This week is really important to us.
