Wrath of the Lich King 25m Progression:
Icecrown Citadel- 12/12 Heroic (Light of Dawn before 4.0)
Hero is currently recruiting a few exceptional players to help fill out our roster as we progress through Siege of Orgrimmar. We're always looking for players that are interested in working hard at new content and conquering it with us now and in future tiers.
Hero is a 25 man raiding guild on Burning Blade (Horde). We currently raid up to 4 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, from 8pm to 12am. Loot is handled by an officer loot council based on attendance, performance, and overall benefit to the guild.
We’re a progression guild that aims to complete all the most challenging heroic content in the game while avoiding a lot of the pitfalls encountered by many hardcore guilds. Wiping over and over on progression content can get stressful, so we try to keep raids fun while still getting serious when we need to. We also run a slightly larger roster than the typical hardcore guild, as we find it gives us flexibility in makeup, the slack in roster that allows people to miss a raid occasionally if their life gets busy, and insurance against people quitting the game. Our guild has been around for quite a while and we’ve found this works out very well for us.
Many of our most satisfied raiders are ones who have been in top-tier, five-day-a-week, 100%-attendance hardcore guilds and have decided that getting a boss kill a little earlier isn’t worth the cost to their lives. We all play the game because we find raiding fun, and it makes the time we spend even better if we can do it with people we consider friends. However, we’re still very competitive and we all want to get high-rank kills as each tier comes out.
What we're looking for in our apps:
-Obviously the basics. Apps should know their class and have experience playing it in a high-end raid environment. Good reaction times, decision making, staying out of fire.
-Our raiders should be quick learners– the best skill to have in progression content is the ability to learn from your mistakes and never make the same mistake twice. If something is unfamiliar or unclear, we expect everyone to ask for clarification up front so we can avoid problems before they happen.
-While we highly value communication skills and the ability to ask questions, we also expect everyone to watch videos, read logs, or do whatever is necessary to begin performing at a high level as quickly as possible.
-Our raiders should have a mature, cooperative attitude towards raiding. We don’t raid for the sole purpose of acquiring loot. Our accomplishments are defined by what the guild gets done, not necessarily just what you get to do personally. What this means is that we don’t expect loot drama when one item doesn’t go your way, and if an encounter is designed so we can only bring a few people of your role/class and we’re forced to ask you to sit then we expect you to understand that. In the end, our hope is that everyone gets the items they need for us to succeed and gets a raiding experience that they can be proud of.
How to Apply:
For any questions, you can contact one of our officers in-game or PM one of them via our forums.
If you're interested, you can read some more detailed information about our guild at: http://hordehero.com/about/
And you can submit an application at: http://hordehero.com/apply/
