About Us
<Electric Mayhem> is a level 25 raiding guild looking to find a few key players to expand our roster. Do you like to raid with a fun group of people? Would you like to see progression without sacrificing your life to a hardcore schedule? Do you play your best and expect others to do the same? Than we just might be the guild for you!
Our goal is to maintain two solid 10-man teams for raiding and supplement that core group of raiders with other like-minded players who can fill in, hang out, and generally contribute to guild success and camaraderie. We seek to progress without being an intense, hardcore group or losing sight of the fact that WoW is ultimately about having fun. We believe that successful raiding with fun, level-headed people is achievable. We don't believe that putting up with the geared-out jerk who also happens to pump out great DPS is the price you have to pay for progression. For those players who have the skill to raid successfully but not the time to commit to a heavy raiding schedule, we hope <Electric Mayhem> will provide the home you're looking for.
Particular Needs
Solid players of any class, or those who are actively working to become raid-ready, will be very much welcome and are always encouraged to apply. Our current raid team is very strong, but we would be particularly interested in the following.
Wed/Thurs Raid Team (Currently 7/8):
- One or two Healers. Any class considered, but Priest or Shaman would be nice.
- Strong DPS of any class.
Sun/Mon Raid Team:
This team is on (a hopefully brief) hiatus while we reshuffle for Dragon Soul and people take time off for the holidays. The addition of a few key players will jump-start this team again.
- Tanks of any class.
- Healers of any class.
- DPS of any class.
What Kind of Player Are We Looking For?
Intelligent, level-headed adults who want to progress and don't panic at the first sign of adversity. While gear, experience and proficiency are always an asset, they aren't everything: smart, newer players who are still on the rise are welcome as long as they show a willingness to learn and the initiative to improve without needing their hands held.
If you're looking for heavy, hardcore raiding, and realm firsts are what really get you up in the morning, this probably isn't the guild for you. However, we do expect our raiders to play to the best of their ability. That means having a knowledge of one's class and spec, having gear that is appropriately gemmed and enchanted, reading up on boss fights and watching strategy guides, and showing up on time with sufficient consumables for the raid.
We also accept social, non-raiding members. If you just like to level alts, get achievements, PvP or run heroics in your spare time, feel free to apply -- there are guild events for you too. Anyone who can contribute positively to our guild atmosphere is more than welcome.
Our Schedule
We have two raid teams:
The Wed/Thurs team raids 8:00 PM to Midnight server time.
The Sun/Mon team raids 8:00 PM to Midnight server time.
Other Scheduled Events
Every second Friday night at 8:30 PM we host "alt-raid" night. Looking to gear up an alt? Did you not have a chance to raid with the main groups during the week? This night is for you.
Every other Friday night at 8:30 PM we run optional "retro raid" for old-school achievement goodness, farming Sarth drakes, or just for the fun of it. This is a great night to farm up old-school shinies for Transmogrification!
** NEW! Saturday nights at 8:30 PM you can join us for SNARFF (Saturday Night's All Right For Fighting), our guild PvP night. Currently we're just having fun and helping to gear people up and get some BG experience, but one day we might take the plunge into guild rated battlegrounds. Come smash some Alliance skulls with us! FOR THE HORDE!
