About Us!

[Epic Weapons Vendor] of Khadgar founded Aug2007

Epic Weapons Vendor is an alliance guild on the Khadgar server. Our goal is to quickly and efficiently progress through 10 hard mode man content without sacrificing our personal responsibilities and goals outside of the game. In order to do this, we adhere to a strict set of principles to guarantee our long term success.

Respect comes in many forms. From showing up when you say you will, to how well you prepare for raids or how you act while learning new content, and how you interact with guildees outside of raid hours. Mutual respect among our raiders ensures a healthy climate and fun environment. It is the foundation of our success. And yes, not only is it easy to offer constructive criticism while being respectful, it is expected.

Our reputation on Khadgar is very important to us. You must understand the significance of maintaining professionalism in the public eye - from forum conduct to your behavior in game. EWV has always been a respected guild on Khadgar and we wish to keep it that way.

We are dedicated to PvE Raid progression above all else. While many of our members enjoy other games in addition to Wow as well as PvP and Achievements, PvE raiding always comes first. With that said, all of our policies and rules are based on this goal alone.

Performance and Teamwork are paramount. No one at EWV has the RIGHT to raid. Your play time will be determined by the needs of the encounter and your Performance, Attendance, and Attitude! Our members understand that it takes hard work to be good at raiding and that preparing for a raid isn't always fun, but is absolutely necessary. At EWV, we recognize that the single biggest factor in determining the quality of a raider is the effort they're willing to put in. The effort put in by individuals directly translates into our overall success.


Raiding Schedule

Our schedule varies based on current content and how much time is required to reach our raiding goals. We will vary from as many as 16 hours a week, to as little as 4 hrs a week when all content is on farm. Usually we raid 9-10 hrs a week and will generally raid Tuesday-Thursday 8-11 (EST). Any minor adjustments to the raid schedule will be discussed in our forums weeks before a change to ensure our raiders do not have any conflicts.

What We Offer

EWV provides an environment in which serious, progression-minded players have the opportunity to advance in the "End Game" of WoW. We host a professional atmosphere where mature players have the opportunity to maximize their character's potential.

Our aim is to enrich that environment with those seeking a long-term home in which to invest their time and energy.

Recruit Expectations

• Above and beyond, you must be able to perform in situations where others are counting on you to do your job, while maintaining a "can-do" attitude throughout a night of progression raiding.

• You must know your class inside and out, and showcase that knowledge via performance. We use tools such as Recount, WWS, and WoL, and we review the data we collect with those tools regularly to evaluate our raiders and help us improve.

• Your character must be optimized to reach its full potential! That means utilizing Top-tier gems, enchantments, consumables, or anything else that might give you an edge in a raiding environment!

• Having extensive raid experience is pretty much mandatory. Ideally we want experienced raiders who have seen the game inside and out, and who have experienced the scope of WoW raiding as its changed through the years.

• Experience being essential, so is raid-worthy gear. If you cannot step in and perform at our standards immediately, you cannot help us achieve our goals. Gear is an indicator of the commitment you have to being prepared and to playing your class to its fullest.

• You must be responsible enough to study encounters on your own. Understanding EVERYTHING about an encounter is the starting point to raiding and should be done before the first pull. In addition, you must be willing to put in the time and effort to engineer a raid UI and customize it for different encounters if needed. With that said, come prepared for raids with whatever consumables and knowledge you'll need to enhance your performance. Ultimately you'll need a conceptual understanding of the mechanics behind raiding, as opposed to memorization of dance steps.

• You should be vocal! Don't hesitate to ask questions, and don't hesitate to give suggestions. We want active members who contribute to the community. You should never be afraid to tell us what's on your mind, or to share information you stumble upon.

• Members are expected to maintain a 80%+ raid attendance.
