“Bad Omen” Guild

Bad Omen is one of a few guilds that started in Vanilla and are still going. We used to be on the hardcore side of progression but are now more on the casual end of things with two mythic raid days and one optional heroic raid per week.

Some information about us:

We started raiding when WoW was released on Warsong, moved with Blizzard-offered server transfers first to Neptulon and then to Dentarg. On our way through the various WoW expansions we've had our ups and downs. The ups include a worldwide top 10 kill on Illidan, top 30 throughout Sunwell and Trial of the Grand Crusader and various top 100s on Lich King and in Ulduar.

We moved to 10 men in Cataclysm and are back to 20 men now for WoD. We won't push progress like we did in previous expansions, but we've always cleared all raiding content in a reasonable time frame given our raiding hours and that won't change in the future. Our raiding schedule is as follows:

Mythic:
Sunday 7 pm to 11 pm
Tuesday 8 pm to 11 pm

For the first few weeks of a tier we usually do an optional farm raid Fridays at 8 pm. The reason being that with our seven hour schedule we can't afford to spend a few hours farming heroic content if we want to progress in mythic. But especially at the release of an expansion, the heroic gear is needed. We do not pull mythic bosses of the current raid tier outside of our Sunday/Tuesday raids.

Attendance for the friday raid isn't required/expected in any way, it's usually some mains and then alts and/or casual members. However if your item level is below what's required for mythics and/or you are lacking set pieces, you are to some extend expected to show up to this raid (you'll have priority on any drops over alts/casuals).

Our average age bracket is 25-35, so I would hope that we are a rather mature guild. We're playing this game to have fun. But for everyone here fun also means to have a reasonable amount of progress.
Wiping is fine. Wiping to the same stuff again and again isn't. We're trying to make the most of our somewhat limited raid time. That means you need to be able to deal with criticism while being able to communicate criticism towards others without yelling and shouting.
