“AoC” Guild

Howdy!

First off, our goals are set for our guild to become a top high end raiding guild come cataclysm in a strict 10 man raid only setup.

In the guild we will look to achieve and enjoy all cataclysm raid instance lockouts by pushing hard for top progression and making sure that our goals are met by 100% dedication from our members.

What we are looking for:

- We're looking for someone that has a highly competitive nature, while at the same time being open to criticism, suggestions and being able to take a joke. Never making mistakes but falling behind on DPS is just as unacceptable as doing amazing DPS but being unable to stay alive. We're looking to recruit people that are able to adapt to new situations quickly, that will learn from their own and other player's mistakes so they're not repeated even after wiping to different things and learning other aspects of the fight. You don't have to constantly be reminded of how to use your class/cool downs to full potential. Nobody is perfect and there is always room for improvement, you need to be able to improve every encounter, every raid and always seek for tweaks in your performance regardless of if it's Hogger, Patchwerk or Lich King. In short: we're not looking for someone that is happy with being second.

- Being on time and not having to be reminded to use flask/food/potions as well as being able to maintain an attendance as close as possible to 100% goes without saying. We realize that there might always be something unfortunate happening in real life, but we absolutely can't have it happen frequently. Having to cancel raids every Monday because "Bob" can't be there is something we will not let happen in our guild. The same goes for unstable computers/connections and emo people.

As a member of 'AoC', you are required to:

- be able to communicate in spoken and written English to a very high standard

- be extremely active with regards to raid attendance (especially during new content)

- be highly competitive and continually push yourself and the guild further

- be able to play your class (main spec and off spec) to maximum potential

- know which gear is best for your class and how to gem/enchant it perfectly

- generally know your class inside out and constantly keep up to date with changes

- have very good raid awareness, be able to adapt very quickly to new situations and learn from mistakes instantly

- put the guild first before personal achievement (e.g. even if you pump out high DPS but do not switch to adds and/or ignore encounter mechanics in general, we don't want you)

- be completely committed to progress

- have a mature attitude and understand guild requirements may sometimes need you to sit out (we need a healthy number of players to make sure we are always covered in times of crisis, therefore we require team players)

- be focused during raids (we do not want players who constantly go AFK and slow down trash/boss pulls)

- be able to listen to instructions on Ventrillo and carry them out flawlessly (being able to speak is highly preferred)
